His House Netflix. wtf?

I have just watched His House. Has anyone seen it? I don't know what I've just sat through!
Pile of rubbish or brilliant?

I do agree, but they'll have pitched it as horror as that's a much easier sell than 'refugee PTSD movie'.

For sure, but there were still enough traditional horror elements to it to make it a horror film too, so it’s still an accurate enough description. However it’s far more sophisticated than your usual fright flick.
I think many watchers will have taken it at face value, as a horror. My teenage DD did, but still enjoyed it as such.

Watched it today. Certainly very different. Original would be another description. No idea how I feel about it, almost turned off halfway through but glad I saw it through to the end. Makes you think.
