So I work in a supermarket and when lockdown first happened it really effected me that I had a panic attack at work and felt I anxious for a little while just at work. Now I don't know what it is but last week I felt really overwhelmed at work and had another panic attack. Since then I've felt like someone has been stood on my chest. I've had another couple of shift at work since and felt so anxious. I also have the feeling that I can't take a full breath in without almost coughing. I wonder if these are related or if I should speak to a dr or wether I should just ride this out?!

Hey! I'm also a supermarket (night shift) worker so can completely empathise with you. I felt an overwhelming sense of panic on my last shift when I saw empty aisles.

It does sound like anxiety to me. Also the use of a face mask probably isn't helping. Are you asthmatic at all?

It does sound like it could be related to anxiety. Although any new chest pain should really be checked out by a dr to be on the safe side

Agree with above. This is probably just basic anxiety, but anxiety can also be a symptom of heart issues, especially in women. You need to be checked out to be inn the safe side. Don't risk your health.

*on the safe side, obviously

I know this sounds really stupid - but I was feeling really anxious about recurrent chest pain around July time.
Had put on weight, with three months of being at home, too many snacks and not enough exercise. Bras were all too tight.
Emergency large bra, lost weight, all OK again now.

Have you been tested for covid?
