To find Tesco more expensive/lacking in products for home delivery?

Hi. Not sure if it's a regional thing. I've been doing Tesco online grocery shoppings - with delivery - for well over a decade now. It's convenient for me, especially as I don't have a car. I've never had any problems with it; I always set the filter to 'special offers' and didn't struggle for choice.
Nowadays - since Covid actually - it's a different story. I have a Tesco shopping booked for tomorrow, and am unable to add a single cucumber to my order! Confused The bin bags I normally get (Tesco own brand Brabantia style ones) have shot up to £4.50 a packet. The 'half price' section of the special offers has some Christmas presents, but that's about it.
They do have some good Clubcard prices, but shopping there now would absolutely entail having a Clubcard.

Has anyone else noticed the change?

We live next to a tesco extra and I've noticed when popping into asda on my way home from work occasionally just how awful Tesco is getting for range of products, and expensive too. It's definitely losing its edge. I love going to Morrisons but find that even more expensive.

Tesco really need to start upping their game. The store rarely changes and it has no new products unlike asda who seem to have new ranges every week.

I don't know about the grocery prices but the Tesco flat rate delivery fee of £5.50 is extortionate compared to Sainsburys and Morrison's which, if you're reasonably flexible on times, you can often get for a couple of quid. (I use a mixture of delivery services so it's not worth me buying a pass)

Holly Road - You can get delivery slots at Tesco much cheaper than that. Obviously if you want your shopping delivered at the weekend it will be more but midweek slots and evening slots are cheaper.

I have a delivery pass which works out at less than £2 a week but prior to that I did click and collect for £1.50.
I found that more convenient than hanging around wondering when the delivery person would show up tbh. Could collect my shopping on the way back from somewhere else.

I think their range has reduced a bit. I buy a lot of their value range and it price matches with Aldi. Bin bags are extortionate, value bin bags have gone type stuff. I think if you're careful it's fine. If you're shopping online I don't know why you wouldn't have a club card. It keeps me in denby cast iron cookware😍

My Tesco's is also doing a flat rate delivery fee. The cheaper slots have gone. It's a 50 mile round trip for me though so still good value!

Yes defiantly not as many special offers. You always used to get a certain porridge on offer, a well known pasta sauce, toilet rolls. They never are anymore!
Their pink apples seem to be coated in something thick too!

I do online with Asda and am getting increasingly annoyed at the amount of own brand items disappearing of the website. I buy all own brand as it’s so much cheaper. Every week something has gone and I don’t mean just saying out of stock just not on there at all. At this rate I’ll give up and go back to Aldi.
