I always run cold. I scanned by yellow book before I gave birth and have just checked my temperature record for when I was hospitalised (a lot of my pregnancy) and my temperature was between 35.6 and 36.2 over months of my pregnancy. I've literally never had what is considered to be a temperature - never in my life, no matter how ill I am.
I feel horrific today. Severe abdominal pain and throwing up. My temperature is 37.3 - which is not considered to be an issue by anyone. I'm really struggling with the fact that I'm never considered to be ill and always dismissed by medical professionals because when I have a "temperature" (well above my normal temperature), it's not considered a problem.
Given that we know people run at different temperatures, why does the entire NHS go on the assumption everyone is the same temperature?!
