Rise in Feral Gangs of Teenagers - Is this UK Wide?

Are all areas of the UK seeing a rise in feral and uncontrollable gangs of teenagers - leading up to and particularly problematic last night (so-called "Mischief Night?")

Where I live this has been a growing problem in ALL areas of our county - both in affluent and less affluent areas.

I am particularly concerned as I am a key worker who is trying to shield as much as possible but will be having to continue to work with such groups who clearly are not.

In addition, it is as though they have finally realised the Police have no control over their numbers. They no longer even care that they are filmed and (rightly or wrongly) then plastered, faces uncovered, all over Social Media. They are even posting themselves, boasting about their exploits.

As far as I am concerned this is one of the biggest problems to arise during the COVID situation.

Yes, we have that problem too. I'm North West also, in a small town, and it's been bad for a while but definitley escalating this last year. Police regularly putting dispersal orders (not that they are worried by the police) in but it just temporarily moves the problem to another area of town, it goes round in circles.

Awful behaviour in parts of Merseyside- but please note, only in parts. Streets usually very quiet in this part of Liverpool and no trouble here on mischief night. Saw worse trouble years ago on mischief night in Sheffield.

I do think that there has been an increase in the number of teenagers roaming around, with nothing much to do, and engaging in anti social behaviour. Which is no surprise I guess. There are so many kids that get no guidance or structure at home, so with no school for many months, no clip ins etc many have gone a bit feral.

I've noticed it where we are (Surrey). It seems to me to be hugely down to boredom or frustration. Arson, vandalism, theft.
