Feel like I need to get on this pronto being 33... please share all of your beautiful tips to stay looking/feeling youthful and ageing in a nice non-accelerated way!

What works for you or what great advice have you been given? Any miracle products? Things you stopped or started doing once you reached a certain age?

I smoke, eat crap & don't drink much water. I'm 50 with minimal wrinkles & no grey hair.... just like my mum & my grandma were.

Have high cheekbones, a small pert nose, good lips and family genetics full of people that age well.

Don't smoke
Don't drink alcohol
Don't drink tea or coffee
Don't eat much sugar or many carbs
Exercise daily
Use good moisturiser
Have good teeth and don't grind them
Minimal Botox
Stay slim
Move around quickly, don't shuffle or walk slowly
Use high factor sunscreen daily
Medium chemical peel once per year
Dye any grey hairs and don't have an ageing hairstyle

@SynchroSwimmer

Fellow swimming and sauna enthusiast here.

Exposing yourself regularly to extreme cold and hot regularly is so good for the body. I live in a landlocked area but swimming in lakes and unheated outdoor pools year round is fantastic. I also stand in cold water after weightlifting and find it gets rid of pains and stiffness. Just like hosing a horse's legs after its galloped Grin

Or just decide that you can drink, eat carbs and slay regardless of wrinkles

FastnetLundyRockall · 30/10/2020 19:24

Because confidence is more important.

@RickJames
Oooh yes, I forgot to mention the brilliant “cold water immersion therapy” for it’s anti-ageing effects too ( - a regular quick jump into the river - with a cheerful wave to puzzled passers-by 😂)

Don't have kids. I had my first in my mid 30s. Photos when she was a newborn I look about 12. Fast forward a few months I'm a wizened crone. Serious sleep deprivation for years. Skin never recovered and neither did the rest of me!
Otherwise don't drink, smoke and get a tan.
No fun basically!! Grin

Drink plenty of water and watch your vit D
Use oil or moisturiser and sun screen on every bit of exposed skin not just your face - hands and neck/chest especially, find what works to make your skin look good and use it regularly
Do things you enjoy as often as you can and spend time with people who make you happy
Spend a minute being grateful for the blessings in your life
Get outside and exercise if you can
Keep learning and stay curious about the world, apathy is ageing too
Get your hair cut properly as often as you can afford it
If you’re lucky enough to fall/be in love, have as much sex as you can and glow!
Stop worrying about how old you look, just try and look like the best version of you. I wouldn’t go down the lots of work, fillers etc route myself as i havent seen anyone who looked lots younger, they just look like they’ve had work done.
Remember you’re amazing. We all are.

If you work on screens make the font size big enough that you don't continually squint. Squinting gives you crows feet.
