AIBU to ask if anyone is fed up and has little DC that like cooking/baking?

Let me just say first that IMHO, cooking/baking with little DC is, for me at least, like entering the seventh circle of hell Wink

I really feel for with Mners with young DC at the moment, especially where playgroups/soft play places are closed (we are Tier 3 here).

I have two cute little aprons which are in very good condition (see first paragraph Grin) and wonder if anyone would like them for their DC? I'm not sure what age DC they are best for, maybe around 3-7? I can't measure them against my DC as my DC are all taller than me now! They measure about 19 inches from top of bib to hem.

If anyone would like them I am happy to post them out (I absolutely do not want any money for the aprons/postage!)

Photos attached (I know photos can be glitchy on the app so they are stripy with a pocket with a little mouse picture poking out. They're from M & S, ribbon tie at waist and Velcro fastening for neck. They are linen/cotton.)

Aww, nice gesture Smile

Well I feel a bit like I am enabling people to partake in a stressful activity Grin I had three under four years old and every time I baked/cooked with them I needed a lie down...I don't know where the third apron went, it probably caught fire or something Grin

Haha, it certainly is stressful Grin

That's very sweet op. DS has his own little apron so just bumping for you Smile

LittleApronsSeekAGoodHome · 30/10/2020 14:55

It doesn't look like many other people enjoy cooking with their DC either Grin

Oh my! My little girl would love these, she loves baking and mice :)

moonlight1705 · 30/10/2020 15:08

Oooh my DD love it. She is only 20 months but loves stirring the bowl for me. Doesn't even want to lick it yet so more for me Blush

LittleApronsSeekAGoodHome · 30/10/2020 15:20

Excellent - if you want to PM me @Sammilouwho and @moonlight1705 I could send you one each? Glad to see them go to a good home!

Thank you! I've messaged :)

moonlight1705 · 30/10/2020 15:33

Thanks so much, have messaged as well Smile

Aww OP you sound lovely! DD has one, I admit it is not something I enjoy doing with her either, she is 4, was hoping it might get more enjoyable when she’s older but maybe not!

LittleApronsSeekAGoodHome · 30/10/2020 16:41

All sorted Smile

Aww lovely idea Smile
Hang in there parents of toddlers - DS1 has loved baking/cooking since toddlerhood, at 2 and 3 it was horrific but at 4.5 he is genuinely helpful (better at cooking that baking, when I wake I want things looking pretty!)

Camomila · 30/10/2020 16:52

*bake

LittleApronsSeekAGoodHome · 30/10/2020 19:05

Yes, it was actually worth putting the effort in as one DC has just brought me a bowl of homemade macaroni cheese and another is making a cappuccino cake tomorrow. I get to lie in bed and be supplied with cheesy pasta and homemade cake - it's great Smile

Nice thread. 🙂

Another one here who is grateful for having invested the time when dd was younger. She's a much better baker than I am, these days, and has been supplying us with lots of baked goods to keep our spirits up in recent months. She even clears up after herself these days!Shock
