To ask if you paint how to do transport your equipment

I've recently taken up painting (watercolour and acrylic ) currently I own tubes of acrylic paint, watercolour tubes and watercolour pencils, also drawing pens. I need them to be transportable as I dont just paint at home. How do you carry it all about? Do I just put it all in various pencil cases and pouches in a tote bag? I'm not too keen on anything too big or bulky like a big plastic carry case. I'd be grateful for any advice

I have a wooden table top easel with a wooden pull out drawer. I store my pencils, watercolour pencils, sharpener and bits and bobs in that. Paints go in tool box with lots of compartments. Masking fluid and any other additives go in there too. I have a brush roll for brushes and a collapsible water pot. I do have a free standing easel too, so if I'm using that, I pop whatever pencils I need into a pencil case. I use the pads of paper palettes for mixing (no need to clean!). One last thing I have, but I've no idea how you could get hold of one - I acquired a vintage wooden cake stand thing. It has 2 rectangular tiers about 25 cm x 35 cm and it folds up. Its pretty light and I only use it if I'm painting somewhere not too far from my car. Its really handy for setting everything out on. Having said all that, what I usually end up doing is making quick sketches and studies while I'm there and then taking loads of photographs to work from!
