To ask if Roombas are worth it?

I'm thinking of getting a Roomba and I'm shamelessly posting here for traffic, because I really want to know if they're worth it?

Do you ever have to sweep or vacuum up after it?
Does it ever bump in to furniture and damage it?
If you have pets, are they okay with it?

The one that is recommended to fit my needs is £1,500 so if I'm going to be spending this kind of stupid money I want to it to do all it says it does and do it well.

Thanks in advance!

So we used to have a cheapish Eufy that I replaced with a £400 roomba when it broke. I thought the Eufy did a better job so I'd be wary of spending £1.5 k on one.

In answer to your questions.
Mine has never damaged any furniture but any charging cables do get wound up in it, so you need to tidy them away before use.
Unless you do a room at a time, it won't do the bit behind doors, so I also have a hand hoover for that.
The dog is not overly fond of it, mostly because it bumps into him when lying on the floor, so I tend to use it when dog is out.

It is fantastic and saves me probably a couple of hours a week hoovering, but it's not a full replacement for everything.
