This is honestly just a moan and I know the NHS is extremely busy at the moment with covid and everything else that's going on but I just feel a bit blah..
I've had a couple of bad experiences so the first was I ended up in A&E with Hyperemesis and the nurse couldn't get blood, probably a mixture of rubbish veins and dehydration - she tried seven times and I asked her to stop for a minute because I felt really ill and she didn't so I ended up fainting which has now scared me about getting my bloods done (I know it's silly but it's scary).
I went for my bloods done another time and had an appt at like 10.30, got there for 10.15 and they didn't see me until 11.45 just for my bloods - a two minute appointment.
I had a test for gestational diabetes on Monday, which I thought was quite a long appointment as you do the bloods, have the drink and do the bloods again but all they did was take the bloods as with covid they don't do the drink anymore but I wish they told me prior as I worked it out that DH dropped me off and my dad picked me up so instead of a one/two hour appt it was a five minute appointment meaning I had to wait outside in the rain for my dad to come (not allowed to wait inside due to covid which is fair enough) - I got a call today from the hospital so I was like oh no I've got gestational diabetes but it turns out they just lost my blood sample and I need to go back and have it done again so I need to psych myself up again about having my bloods done ðŸ˜.
When I went for my 20 week scan I asked to know the sex of the baby, she went through the scan and then at the end stopped so I asked again and she was like "oh I didn't check" and that was that - ended up getting a private scan so I could find out and DH could be there. It's a little boy by the way
Another time was I needed to see the midwife for my MATB form thingy and I called her to see if she could post it as the only appointment they had was at 10.40 which meant I missed a day at uni with it being half a day and she said I had to physically see her so I was like okay fair enough - I was sat in the waiting room and got a voicemail at 10.37 from the midwife saying she hopes I'm not on my way as she can actually post my MATB form out whilst I was sat there ... I ended up just going in and seeing her but it felt annoying.
Again I know I'm probably being unreasonable as the NHS is on it's arse but I just feel a bit stressed mostly because of another blood test I think and needed to have a bit of a rant
