Just that. How unreasonable would I be to go abroad for 4 or 5 days ?
I have been very vocal about people leaving the U.K. and the having to self isolate.
I think I know the answer. The alternative is decorating

I think a lot of people at the start of summer probably thought some people were silly going away. I certainly wouldn’t have entertained it, now as we’re almost in November the thought of a holiday is very, very tempting.

@Meepmeeep yes I definitely wish we'd gone abroad in the summer, but looking back it would have been hugely stressful with all the chopping and changing about quarantines.

We are currently seriously thinking about going to Tenerife the week before Christmas, wouldn't book until the very last minute though and obviously it depends on what's happening at the time.

Plan some treats - order in nice ready-meals or get take-aways, watch some movies, turn your phone off, do what you can to make the week different.
