2 days late on my period negative test

Hi all. I'm normally really really regular although last month I was 1 day late. So far I'm on day 32 in my cycle. I usually come on around 29/30 days.

I'm not experiencing any pregnancy or period symptoms. Just sore boobs.

I have done 2 clear blue tests one yesterday and one today both were certainly negative.

Anyone else had experience with this? The tests are 100% negative so am I assuming something else is wrong now?

Please help. TIA 💛 xx

Good luck OP, I really hope you get the result you’re hoping for. If you don’t, I’m certain being a bit late isn’t a sign of anything sinister.

I don’t want to give you false hope but I am a late ovulater and therefore didn’t get a positive until 2 days after I was due. I took lots of those early tests before it was due and got negatives, but I didn’t realise at the time I was only testing 7 or 8 DPO.

SunflowerSeed1234 · 23/10/2020 15:38

This is my year in ovulation and periods. I use this app to track it although I torally get my ovulation days will not be accurate. My period usually is.

I usually get pains a few days before I sort of started to get light discomfort but I haven't had pain and it didn't last long. Just a heavy feeling but that has stopped now. I don't feel pregnant either 😞.

The grey days on this month is where I should of started - the app keeps pushing the days back.

Sooooo frustrating. I'm wondering if delayed due to stress.

Thank you for your kind words all xx

Fingers crossed for you.

SunflowerSeed1234 · 24/10/2020 20:43

Thought I'd update this thread as often find myself wondering on other peoples if they are ok.

My period came today at work (yay😥😢). I guess the learning is believe whole heartedly when a test is negative. Don't allow any hope.

The good news is at least its started and I'll be better prepared next time my body decides to play a little trick on me and I won't think too much into it.

Can have a glass of wine and chocolate tonight.

Thanks for all your comments. It isn't my turn this month 💛. xx

I’m sorry OP. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you next month x

OwlinaTree · 24/10/2020 22:45

Hope it happens for you soon op.

movingonup20 · 24/10/2020 22:54

I've been a week late (or early) occasionally and last month skipped a whole month. It happens. Bodies aren't like clockwork!

BuffayTheVampireLayer · 24/10/2020 23:23

@Cheeseboardandmincepies

2 days late doesn’t mean there’s a issue OP. Maybe Google hypochondriac.
Pretty sure there is zero need for cuntish comments like this to an total stranger.
FlyOnTheWall89 · 23/09/2021 06:12

@SunflowerSeed1234 hope you’ve had a BFP since this. Reading your story which is similar to mine. ❤️

Squirrelinatree · 23/09/2021 07:13

Sorry it didn’t happen this month. I had a loss in January and last month was 10 days late when I’m never late. Even though the tests were negative, I was secretly hoping they were wrong but they weren’t. I’m 36 and think my cycle is just changing and maybe it won’t happen. Really hoping it happens for you soon, I know how rubbish it is when it doesn’t

SunflowerSeed1234 · 23/09/2021 21:18

@FlyOnTheWall89 how sweet of you to come back to this thread. To be honest I read this in the morning in my office and just cried 😢.

Sadly there was a problem. I had a few more symptoms and late periods over the months since this thread and went to a doctor. Have recently been diagnosed with polysistic ovary syndrome. It all started with this cycle. I remember the hope that it was a pregnancy when in fact it was something more sinister. Maybe in my heart I knew. That person who called me a hypercondriact you should be careful what you say to people as that was hurtful uncalled for and not very nice at all @Cheeseboardandmincepies and unfortunately you was wrong. I wish I was a hypercondriact.

I am under a specialist now as I now have medical conditions unfortunately linked to it. My body is making a dangerously high amount of testosterone so I am on metaformin to try and control that. I've been told it will be very very difficult for me now. I've also just turned 34.

No positive tests, since but plenty of tears. Am coming to terms with it all but I feel sad for the girl who wrote this thread. I remember the deep hoping and searching for answers. I remember the excited feeling each month my period was delayed and the frustration on negative test after test and then finally 5 days late each month starting my period again.

Literally thank you so much for commenting on this thread❤. It was nice to return to it and see kindness in strangers. And also remind myself it's OK to have a little cry sometimes and morn for the things we desperately wanted but didn't quite go our way ❤. I've come a long way since writing this and I am proud of that.

Sending baby dust to everyone else on here and I hope you all got your happy ending. Genuinely I do ❤. I hope you all get your baby snuggles and kisses and baby wishes xxxx

@Squirrelinatree I am so so sorry to hear of your sad loss.

Please don't let my update scare you. I had a lot of strange symptoms alongside it all and not everyone has a medical condition that will impact it.

My mum had me at 38 ❤.

I'm sending lots of baby dust and wishes your way. ❤ I hope it happens for you and you get a happy ending.

I feel your sadness and loss. ❤. Xx

@SunflowerSeed1234 I'm sorry to pull this thread up again but I was reading about your pcos.
I was diagnosed with pcos at 18 after horrible symptoms like dizziness and night sweats and they have to tell you at the appointment that you're likely infertile as the worst case scenario .

The truth of pcos is not that black and white, the symptoms and severity differs between women and I hope that you find that with yourself.

I got pregnant at 23 when a condom split at the top and it was literally the first ever time I'd had "unprotected" sex. Many women I know in their 30s with 3+ kids also have pcos too. My sister in law has two sons and no losses with pcos.
The only thing I would say may have helped pregnancy was being on multi vitamins including folic acid and vitamin D.

Please don't think it as a debilitating illness or that you won't conceive, try actual pcos forums too Smile

Also be sure not to listen to people talking you down about your health like that idiot and make sure the Dr's listen and test when you're concerned xx

Hi @SunflowerSeed1234 just stumbled upon your post and I’m so desperately sorry you have had issues surrounding your fertility. I’m late this month for the first time (except when I’ve actually been pregnant) but I’m going to take your advice here and believe the negative tests despite hoping for something different.

I hope another year on your situation has changed.

SunflowerSeed1234 · 21/10/2023 23:44

Hey, genuinely thank you for reaching out. Just as an update, no, I haven't been able to conceve since. We've put pur dreams in a book and put that book on the shelf, because it's easier that way.

Sending love and hope and wishes to you. ❤️ thanks for reaching out. In my experience a negative test is always a negative result. I've had 2 miscarriages and both showed positive results instantly.

But that doesn't mean the sane for everyone. I can only speak of myself.

Good luck ❤️ xx
