Smashed mirror

Skittlebug · 21/10/2020 19:27

My 18month old daughter accidentally cracked my partner's mirror which he had from his father's flat when he passed away, it's a plain wooden mirror, he knows about the crack but I don't think he'll let me bury it as he doesn't believe in superstition. Should I bury the glass and replace with a new glass? Aibu?

In 2020 cracked mirror must be a good thing surely
Or did you crack it on Dec 31 2019? Is this all your fault?

Pelleas · 21/10/2020 19:30

Why not, if it makes you feel better?

Hadjab · 21/10/2020 19:31

Do you honestly believe 2020 will get any worse if you don't bury it?

With the greatest of respect, and love, and indeed hugs, please grow up, and out of this superstitious nonsense.

MissConductUS · 21/10/2020 19:32

Just throw some salt over your left shoulder, then spin around clockwise three times to confuse the spirits.

It's his mirror, don't replace it unless he agrees.

YABU! Don’t do anything to mirror without his permission (except keep it away from 18 month old incase it shatters - and if it does - take it to recycling- don’t bury it!)

Skittlebug · 21/10/2020 19:57

Just don't want 2020 to get any bloody worse, mental health at breaking point as is Confused I'll leave the mirror then! And yes keep it away from lil sneaky one in future!
