This is off the back of the other thread for the most disturbing scene'
It can be something that moved you, thrilled you, made you cry etc.

I've just seen Ammonite with Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan as lovers and it has hands down the most realistic lesbian love scene I've ever encountered - they co-ordinated it themselves apparently ( rather than let a male director show what he thinks women might do together in bed) and it shows. Passionate, tender, very rude, realistic.

Agree with the West Wing.

The opening bit in Gladiator where the Roman soldiers all shield together, missiles coming at them, very loud music (in cinema) My heart pounded for hours after!

Carl and Ellie’s montage in up is without a doubt the most beautiful and touching piece of cinema breaks me every single time.

hollyandkit · 19/10/2020 17:51

I love the bit in That Thing You Do when they hear their song played on the radio for the first time, just pure joy!

Battle of the Bastards on GOT was stunning. I must have watched it 4 or 5 times, just that episode

Howdidweenduphere · 19/10/2020 17:59

I love the educating yorkshire scene when the boy with the stutter reads with the headphones on and the stutter goes. His teacher saw the idea on the kings speech. It's just a lovely moment for both pupil and teacher I think...made me cry!

Greys anatomy. Jo Wilson has a patient who is a victim of rape. Jo strikes up a bond with her and the whole episode is so delicately done. When she goes in to surgery all the females in the hospital line her journey to theatre in support for her. Leaves me bawling every time.

The Joker when he dances down the steps. Brilliant scene to a masterpiece of a film.

Morgan12 · 19/10/2020 21:47

Game of Thrones. Arya Stark wearing the face of Walder Frey.

'When people ask you what happened here, tell them the North remembers. Tell them winter came for House Frey.'

lola006 · 19/10/2020 21:51

The final 7ish minutes of Six Feet Under.

Slippy78 · 19/10/2020 21:53

The 'I kick ass for the lord' scene in Brain Dead.

Bubbletrouble43 · 19/10/2020 21:55

Godfather, when Michael makes his first kill by shooting the copper and the other bloke in the restaurant as a train goes past. I love Al pacino, and he was so hot when he was young.

Slippy78 · 19/10/2020 21:58

It was Peter Jackson's best finest hour.

Docking scene in Interstellar

Heartofglass12345 · 19/10/2020 22:03

I think the whole last episode of the Big Bang Theory was amazing lol

Thurmanmurman · 19/10/2020 22:05

In Billy Elliott at the end when his dad and brother travel to London to see him as the lead in Swan Lake and he leaps out on stage. The awe on his Dad's face. Also when Del Boy and Rodney become millionaires in OFAH.

Love actually when Alan Rickman gives Emma Thompson the CD, her reaction. Bastard, I never quite forgave him.

NeverPromisedYouARoseGarden · 19/10/2020 22:07

The "beavers" scene in Thelma and Louise.

GintyMarlow2 · 19/10/2020 22:07

The scene in 'Blackadder' where the soldiers go over the top, in slow motion, and the scene fades out into a sea of poppies. Unforgettable and emotional.

hopeishere · 19/10/2020 22:09

Lots of good ones here

Agree re Two Cathedrals- amazing tv.

Also in the last season of The Handmaids Tale where the kids are on the plane. I was SOBBING.

PunkStrumpet · 19/10/2020 22:09

The end of the episode of "Inside Number 9" that starred Sheridan Smith.
In fact, the whole episode.

The most profoundly moving bit of drama I've ever seen. Amazing.

When the bikes fly in ET! The music is just outstanding and it gives me goosebumps every time, and I’ve watched it a lot! A forever classic Smile

LastGoldenDaysOfSummer · 19/10/2020 22:12

Yes to the Blackadder scene.

Also Aragorn's coronation, "My friends you bow to no one."

And from ER when Green died and the music was Sand and Water by Beth Nielsen Chapman.

Kitcat47 · 19/10/2020 22:15

The disco scene in Frighnight! Grin
