Was up at 5 this morning as DD was hungry. No worries says me I'll have an early night. Went to bed an hour ago coz i was so tired. Next thing i wake up thinking a jet plane is landing in the bedroom! In actual fact its DH snoring!!! Waited a good 15 minutes to see if i could get back to the land of nod but no - DD starts giving it big licks through the baby monitor! She's actually snoring louder than her Dad (Its quite funny really). Are they out to get me or what???? Had to get up and am wide awake now!

Oh no!
Will DH get up with DD tomorrow, so you can have a lie-in?

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 12/10/2007 23:03

sorry i do sympathise
but that is one funny post

elliemac · 12/10/2007 23:04

Well this is how it'll go in the morning - when she wakes up he'll say that he'll go and get her up but he'll still be half asleep so i'll probably end up getting up anyway. He's well crafty!

Tip - Get some ear plugs!!!!

elliemac · 12/10/2007 23:09

Ear plugs - Will that stop the bed tremoring. I'm not joking i really think he's going to have lost his voice in the morning!

i feel your pain dh snores so badly i have lost so much sleep over him and hurt my hands punching him in the back to make him stop!

elliemac · 12/10/2007 23:12

I should go into the spare room really but that means carting the monitor and all my other crap through! Think i'll move him in there tomorrow night.

Ellie, a sharp kick in the morning is a good way of getting your dh to wakefullness!

elliemac · 12/10/2007 23:17

ChipMonkey - To where should i deliver this sharp kick?

OP posts:
xXxamyxXx · 12/10/2007 23:20

where it hurts most

chipmonkeyPumpkinNorks · 12/10/2007 23:22

Soft bits usually, ellie!

elliemac · 12/10/2007 23:23

LOL - Can you imagine his face. He'll get up in the morning and say 'i had a terrible nights sleep last night'. Doesn't sound like it from here. Are there any decent guests on Johnny Woss tonight does anyone know?

seriously. does he snore every night if so. get him to move into spare room whilst baby is young(can be very romantic....your place or mine) but sleep is so important.

elliemac · 12/10/2007 23:29

He's not usually too bad but we've all had a rotten cold for about a week. I think i'm just as bad sometimes. He tells me i sound like a hog some nights - this i do not believe!!!

My dh used to snore terribly. His brothers were all the same and it turned out that one brother was diagnosed with sleep apnoea(potentially life-threatening!) and has to wear a CPAP machine at night. dh decided to be checked for this as well and sure enough he has it too! He got the CPAP and never snores when he's using it. It does make him breathe like Darth Vader but it's a lot better than the snoring!

chipmonkeyPumpkinNorks · 12/10/2007 23:32

LOL, Ellie, I remember my Dad sneaking upstairs with a tape-recorder ( remember them!) to prove once and for all to my Mum that she did snore!

elliemac · 12/10/2007 23:34

Chip - I do NOT snore!!!!!
