To ask if you can get your figure back after a second/third c section

I'm possibly going to have a section, I've had one before and a further op which had to go back through some of my scar.

I've been going to the gym to keep fit and healthy during my pregnancy. I'm just curious to know whether after 2/3 sections it would be possible to ever be slim again or will there always be an overhang??

I’ve got an overhang after just 1 section. A friend who’s very slim also complains. I can quite imagine it’s to do with the stitching.

@eurochick has it. That’s why I’ve got a “cushiony postbox” but on the whole I’m quite trim.

Yes. After my 3rd section aged 33 I was bigger than ever but with some calorie control and exercise I soon went back down to a size 10 which was natural for me. Now I'm 47 and crept up a couple of sizes and can't blame anyone but myself 🤣 Should say after my first 2 sections I snapped back to shape without any effort but I was in my mid twenties so that helped!

Sorry meant to say I dont have overhang just always look a bit bloated. Xx

After I’d lost the extra weight following my second section, I had no overhang and my shape was good. But the skin in my stomach has been really stretched in my second pregnancy especially, and that meant that it was very puckered all around my belly button. No overhang though. There was just too much skin, nothing to do with the scar.

First 2 no problem hardly neat scar etc' 3rd lumpy scar and overhang but could be due to surgeon and being 10 years older than 1st.

Two sections aged 36 and 39, second with full term twins, no overhang, very faint single scar (surgeon cut out the first scar when doing the second one). Flat belly, slightly crepey skin on it when I bend over. Tits like two fried eggs though.
