Fungal infection. Put some canestan on it!

Lifeisabeach09 · 16/10/2020 06:13

Looks like flaky skin build up to me. What does it look like when cleaned out?

BusterGonad · 16/10/2020 06:16

I've seen a video of this, they usually pull it out with tweezers and the other end looks like it has hairy roots. Good luck op.

TartanCurtains · 16/10/2020 06:29

Looks like a fungal infection. Does it also smell?

Have you just started wearing tights in the colder weather?

LadyFannyButton · 16/10/2020 06:59

Navel stone.
Google has images and videos if you aren’t of a delicate nature.

If you do remove it I’m sure sporner corner would like a picture.

You have an infection.

Possible bacterial or fungal- or both.
Belly buttons can often collect skin debris, fluff, often won;t get dried after a shower, so infection is no uncommon.
There may be pus, swelling, redness or soreness.

I would clean it out with boiled cool water with a touch of salt to see how bad the infection is.
I would use some antiseptic cream or spray and see if it improves in a day or two, washing and re- applying the antispetic twice a day.
If it is very sore/smelly then see GP.

^^ This. It's an infection, what type is difficult to know until it's swabbed and tested. Clean with boiled cool water and either apply antiseptic twice a day or clean with boiled cool water with a touch of salt 5-6 times a day.

It it doesn't improve in 3-4 days, see GP.

Crusty cum! 😂🤣💦

pinkbalconyrailing · 16/10/2020 08:02

not washing and drying it properly causes it.

it's probably a mixture of fluff from clothes and old skin cells.

give it a good scrub with soap next time you havea bath or shower and carefully and gently dry it afterwardsz

picklemewalnuts · 16/10/2020 08:34

Be gentle washing it. Consider using cream and cotton wool. It's really easy to scratch the inside and end up with it worse.

You can dry it with a hair dryer after washing, if you need to.

Blancmangetout · 16/10/2020 09:22

Thank you all for your replies. Just had call back from GP surgery - I'm getting a steroid cream to use.
Hopefully that'll do the trick.
Apologies for ruining your early morning cuppa! Haha
Have a great day.
