I think that the government basically transferring the blame to individual areas saying it’s down to them to bring the rate down will end up with neighbour blaming neighbour.

all LastTrainEast@ not at all, but I don’t think that they should put the responsibility onto the shoulders of the individual. As for boosting the economy that was said tongue in cheek.

Just before more misinformation gains traction, the government has clarified that support bubbles are allowed in ALL tiers. Bearing in mind that a support bubble isn’t supposed to consist of two normal sized families.

YANBU

We need local input - but then we should put in place a coherent joined up national approach.

Despite our testing shambles, we know (through hospitals, etc) that cases are rising across the UK (with a few exceptions like the south west). The time to to act is before they increase even more. Proactive not reactive action. There's no point shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.

All this tier different rules for every area nonsense simply causes division and resentment - and acts nicely as a diversion tactic (taking the focus off what really needs to be done).

People live, work, shop, and go to school across boundaries. Viruses travel across boundaries.

Completely the right thread, thank you Thanks
Some people will actually grass their neighbours, how sad.
Not for a party of many people, but just 6 people from 2 different households in one house.
