To ask how you would get rid of this?

Boring question but MN wisdom needed please!!

DH and I have a corner sofa which is in sections. We no longer want the corner piece- we bought it in a different house and it doesn’t really fit in the current one.

How would you get rid of it? 10 years old but perfectly serviceable & in good nick. It seems such a waste to throw it away. But the odds of someone wanting it are surely slim.

Oh and it’s brown leather which I think is a MN no-no? So feel free to slate us for that

Just got a new sofa The old one we cut it up with an electric drill and took it the tip It was lovely only 6 years old black leather large 3 seater & large 2seater I thought about giving it away but really couldn’t deal with the stress of idiots calling and wanting it delivered So we chopped it up 😂

I’m not sure your glee in regard to chopping up a sofa and sticking it in landfill is warranted. It’s a bloody waste.

Is it real leather? If you know any people who like sewing you could give/sell them the leather cover. You could make bags, jackets etc out of that. They might be prepared to get rid of the leftover carcass for you?

Thats disgusting. So many sites to list it on. Takes a few minutes and quicker than cutting it up.

No wonder the planet is fucked. So fucking selfish when someone else could have had that.

I would Freecycle it and say it would be great for a man/woman cave or playroom. It looks in pretty good shape.

That might work as a dog sofa!
