Excruciating toothache. Please tell me there’s something I can do about it....

Lost a filling during lockdown. My dentist have only just started to take bookings and I’ve got an appointment tomorrow. But in the meantime I’m in excruciating agony which has come up pretty much since yesterday.

I’ve been taking paracetamol but can’t take ibuprophen as it’s contra-indicated with warferin which I’m on.

Have. Rinsed out with salt water, which actually made it worse, applied some garlic crushed into a paste, and applied some vanilla extract on a cotton bud, as per advice discovered on some health site.

I feel a bit like a witch doctor. Grin but am still in agony. Is there anything else I’m missing?

Get the dissolvable co-codamol and swish it around the affected tooth, works brilliantly.

Another vote for codeine.

Gargle continuously with ice cold water. Every time it gets warm spit it out and put new water against it.

I was so desperate once with my excruciating tooth pain that I slathered voltoral creme all over my chin and jaw and inside my mouth. Extreme I know but it worked.
