Just seen his latest tweet as he is being 'let out' of hospital today. "Don't be afraid of Covid - all is good, I feel better than I have in 20 years!!!!" Just cant help thinking its bloody bloody typical he gets a mild dose and can now go back to his 'fans' and say he was right - no need to bother with masks or social distancing etc etc. as ist's just not anything ot worry about!!!

I doubt its run its course yet. I think it's relatively likely that he'll need to go back into hospital in a week or so.

What would satisfy you that karma had caught up with him?

I doubt he has had it but if ever a person was going to convince me that selling your soul to the devil was a real thing...to is definitely him. I absolutely cannot understand why he still has supporters. He is a truly vile individual on pretty much every level that I have knowledge of (I mean he could be nice to his goldfish I suppose and I wouldn't see that but I don't think I've heard of a single likeable thing about him).

I firmly believe it's a stunt but if not dammit that bloody faustian deal is the only possible answer.

No way has he had it. No way would you be ill enough you needed to go to hospital then absolutely fine; it’s not a quick illness. No doubt he saw that Boris was more popular (only briefly I assume!) after being in hospital with Covid and thought it would be a good idea to copy.

In actual fact if he had Covid he'd be halfway to death because he's made of 100% mashed potato and sadness.

I would say difficult patient, they are letting him go. The military hospital did their best and he discharged himself, they are off the hook now.

The drugs he is on are quite unpleasant and powerful he is not going to bound back to power

I do think he's had it. They've pumped him full of all the drugs and he thinks he's better, but I suspect he'll relapse when the steroids wear off.

Some of his supporters are saying that it was ‘planted’, just as it was in care homes, cruise ships etc! You really can’t fix stupid.

I think he tested positive earlier than they're letting on but because he doesn't believe its serious carried on campaigning because he thought he was invincible.

DH suggested that it's all turned into the movie Dave now and there's no long actual Trump in power (because he's dead from Covid) but a very lovely lookalike and they'll keep him here til after the election where he'll lose and go back to his home in small-town Ohio and fall in love with Sigourney Weaver because announcing the death of a president at a time like this would be catastrophically destabilising for the nation.

I don’t believe in karma either (at least, not the Western mis-understanding of what karma is) but I think many are losing the point of OP’s post which is that many people in the US will be emboldened by Trump’s recovery and take coronavirus even less seriously.

Trump has been holding rallies with no social distancing and mask wearing requirements, he is assaulting people.

Has anyone seen the video of him? He looked like he was gasping for breath and struggling not to cough. At 77 he's highly at risk for long term complications, I wouldn't be so confident of his full recovery just yet.
