To ask about your perimenopause symptoms

I am 47 and likely in perimenopause - I feel pretty shit for about 3/4 of the month these days to be honest.

My latest symptom seems to be feeling extra shit on the last day of my period- headache, feeling sick, very emotional, anxious, heart palps, only wanting beige food. It used to be that by now I was starting to feel better but no. Is it linked to rising hormones again? Anyone else get this?

Then I feel super shit around ovulation- same sort of thing. Then have a sunny week, then it’s pms & back to feeling shit again.

Aibu to ask if anyone else gets this joyful combination of hormone horror? It’s driving me nuts- I have had the pointless ‘there’s nothing wrong with you’ blood tests several times at the GP and been dismissed as anxious several times too 🙄

Permanently wound up and Literally ready to kill anyone at any given moment. Often feel completely overwhelmed and out of control.

Waking up in middle of night brain whirring.

Inconsistent periods from hell

Such fun Grin

52 in three months’ time and still having a period every 28-29 days, and yet….

My bullshit radar is turbo charged. I’m pathologically, emphatically, completely and totally sick of other people’s nonsense, selfishness and stupidity, which definitely feels linked to dwindling hormones.

I have become incapable of putting up with it all. I’ve rapidly become so irritable and so extremely intolerant.

This makes me sound like an absolute delight, I realise that. But at almost 52, ‘it is what it is’ . Deep breathing, counting to ten, trying (and invariably failing) to get a good night’s sleep are having no positive impact on my raging irritability.

How depressing. I commented on this thread in 2020 and now I’m 52 and still fucking bleeding regularly and having many symptoms.

My post was that the menopause passed me by, which it mostly did but now have hypothyroidism and a lifetime of medication so I was wrong.

I'm 44 and unsure if I am in perimenopause, but think I could be.

My periods are heavier and I skipped one two months ago. Legs ache at times, like when I've been sitting down for a while they feel very stiff when I get up and I have to waddle. It might just be getting older but it's a big change.

I also have bad PMS.
