To think my child was a soldier in a past life *lighthearted*

Bizarrely DD (15months) drops to the floor and shuffle crawls to me when she hears a loud noise. She walks and runs perfectly well but if something shocks her she’ll drop straight away and roll or shuffle James Bond like.
We don’t really watch TV and daycare have not taught it as lockdown procedures so I’m concluding past life?
Does anyone else’s little one do strange things like this? Or is this normal and I need to stop overthinking things?

All my kids used to say "Da!" for yes. For ages, I mean to the age of 3+. I used to think they should have been Russian, or at least if they had been maybe they wouldn't have needed speech therapy.

@Smallsteps88 you may be, we’re not. Your language/understanding may have changed and now excludes other kind of lockdowns, other’s hasn’t. It’s okay, you made a comment and it was answered.

My son always ‘commando crawled’ on his forearms, he never crawled “normally”.

He is in now the military.

Your DD is telling you of her future career choices.

I cannot believe this actually required an edit by HQ.

Esindi · 29/09/2020 14:40

@HeidiHoNeighbour that really made me laugh. She loves birds too. She’s definitely going to be an ornithologist soldier! What with her past life too

@sapnupuas shit happens when the occult is mentioned with toddlers

I think these are the strangest responses I have every read. Do people seriously need direction from a thread title to understand how to read it? Should we have "serious" or "ridiculous" or "not as exciting as it sounds" as directions too?

There was also no doubt in my mind about what type of lockdown you meant. Why would you get down on the floor for Covid?

Sorry, I don't have any toddler stories.

FatimaMunchy · 29/09/2020 14:52

My mother always said I was a laundry maid in a past life because I loved washing my dolls' clothes.

PhoebeSnow · 29/09/2020 14:59

OP some people on here have no sense of humour, I think it’s funny

Esindi · 29/09/2020 14:59

Thank you @Aweebawbee!

Back on track I also agree DD was a naked torturer sleep terrorist In a past life, so it shouldn’t be hard to find her past Godiva iron maiden persona

That’s adorable. I do believe in past lives.

Esindi · 29/09/2020 15:46

Well I’ll take my first AIBU as a massive failure. Grin I really didn’t think it would go this wrong.
DD and I will suck it up, forget any past life links and work on our clarity.

I think small children can make you reassess your belief system.

When my youngest child was a baby and literally never slept I moved his cot in case it was on a ley line and that was disturbing his sleep....It worked, obviously there might have been many reasons for this or it could have been a complete coincidence but still!

I literally never think of ley lines at all otherwise.

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 29/09/2020 16:31

Grin too funny OP.
