To worry that the bank will not like it if I switch to Starling?

I want to try Starling banking As it looks so user-friendly and should help me get to grips with my finances.

I have my mortgage and a loan with one of the High Street banks.

I want to keep that going but get wages and all transactions done in the new Starling account.

A friend told me banks do not like it if you do not Use them to pay in your earnings and for transactions.

I do not really understand any of this and that is why I was trying to make my life easier by trying Starling in the first place.

Would welcome your advice thank you.

@CoffeeandCroissant

Sadly that’s a legal requirement

Any bank would have done the same if you could not have passed I’d checks

I don’t agree with it but thems the rules

(I don’t agree because I don’t believe the state should have a say over who can do what with money and if that means laundering happens it’s the price to pay. I hate having to explain where I get cash from even though it’s legal because it j”no bodies God damn business but mine. If I want to have 30k in cash built up under the mattress Over 30 years and then deposit it in the bank I should be free to. Sadly my uncle who did exactly that fell foul of the rulz)
