To feel so tired all the time?

Hi everyone,

I know it is not really an AIBU, but I am looking for some advice please.
It has been more than 6 months now since I feel very tired, but on and off. I had twice some blood tests, which seem to be fine. But the last few weeks have been so bad that I struggled to concentrate at work and doing my work has been taking much longer than it should be.
My legs feel tired/heavy and sometimes tingling and I feel sleepy all the time. I usually have around 7-8 hours of sleep per night.
My GP thinks that it might because of the stress, but I might have further tests done.
I am usually healthy and I am in my early 30's so I dont understand why I am so tired to the point that I can not concentrate.

Did any of you have similar symptoms or felt this way? I don't know what to do to feel better.

Thank you.

I have this same problem. I got some iron floradix (from Holland & Barrett) Works a treat! Taste nasty but helps.

Do you eat healthily?

Try taking high doses of vitamin D, it made a big difference to me. Also Floradix for iron as someone else suggested. Can also be hormonal, but that tends to be a single day or two each month rather than constant. You could also consider your blood sugar, if you have hypoglycaemic tendencies it will make you feel very tired - try cutting out refined sugar and white carbs, have wholemeal everything and lots of protein and see if that helps. I have a lot of sympathy, I'm always tired!

Yes iron supplements worked for me too. I use spatone. Also I find a magnesium supplement helps.

Thanks everyone. I am taking vitamin D every day because I used to have a deficiency.
I will try Floradix as suggested. Thank you.
@Flightsoffancy
It used to be a few days every month, but now it is almost daily. I used to feel tired before, but never so bad that I could not concentrate at work.
I barely have sweets and I almost cut out the carbs completely. I am usually having gluten free products because I noticed I am less tired when I am not having gluten. I am tired even if I run for 2 minutes.
Hopefully the iron will work.

I felt exhausted all of the time last winter. GP did bloods and was low on Vit D3, foliate and I was told to take Bit C too. Much better than I was but still have days when I fall asleep at 7pm in chair. I also started to try to walk outside in fresh air for 30 mind each day unless raining hard. Get Thyroid tested.

Be careful about self medicating with Floradix!

I was feeling completely fatigued and lacking energy - had a blood test as I've had anaemia on and off over the last 25 years.
I now have too much iron - WTF??? And the symptoms - esp. extreme tiredness - are almost the same.
