3 yrs ago my sister had a seizure while driving thankfully no one was hurt. It was her first one so she said the dr said she can drive a few days later ( i believe she lied to me). A week ago she had another one while at work. After she was discharged she got a taxi back to work then drove herself home. I went mental at her on the phone. She told me to fuck off and put the phone down haven't heard from her since as i told her not to if shes still driving.
What the fuck do i do now ? How can anyone be so selfish?

If you reported her to the DVLA would they automatically tell her who had reported it? Would have thought some kind of whistleblower scheme in operation.
If you ask for confidentiality, would they legally be able to give your personal details?

She would 100% know its me. Like i said having her driving licence removed wont stop her driving. Its such a mess im in the process of writing a message to her which i will say i will report her as its true i can't have that on my mind.

You report her
She drives without a licence, you report her again & call the police
Keep doing it every fucking time

Well she’s risking the lives of everyone else driving on the roads when she is. It is extremely selfish of her. Report her. She needs to learn her actions do affect others

squeekums · 28/09/2020 09:07

She a selfish bitch. A license is not a right but a privilege and she is spitting on that. She has no right to a license given her current and ongoing issues, nor has she earned the right to keep it. She isn't fit to drive. Replace seizures with alcoholic driving blind drunk, would you still not report?

I don't drive due to extreme anxiety and flashbacks from an accident at 16
I am a risk to not only myself but others if I were to drive. I am not fit to drive so I don't.
People like your sister infuriate me

If my brother was in the same situation and he killed your sister / children / parents how annoyed would you be that I could have prevented it?

There’s a famous phrase: there are two types of evil in the world. People who do evil things and people who see evil things and do nothing about it.

Do you really want that on your Conscience? What if she kills her self driving? Then you don’t have a sister to have a relationship with anyway?

Her doctor will break patient confidentiality and inform the DVLA if they think she is putting herself and others at harm (as they should)

If she is such a horrifically selfish and stupid person to do this, do you want her in your life anyway? I do understand if you don't want her to know it was you to avoid any repercussions though - would a solution be to inform her doctors and they will inform the DVLA - you can then look her in the eye and tell her truthfully you haven't contacted the DVLA? This is a white lie but greater good and all that.

You do need to make someone aware. I know it's hard.

Which is worse though, feeling bad as you have caused her inconvenience, or feeling bad if she kills a child and you will know you could maybe have prevented it (or reduced the risk if she just keeps driving). At least if you report it, you won't have it on your conscience that you didn't do anything about the situation. It absolutely won't be your fault if she does this, it will be her fault but imagine how you would feel.

Here are the regulations if it's any help. I'm epileptic and can't drive and it's fucked my life right up but it is how it is sadly. Please report her before something terrible happens (and it's probably when not if)
