Is unreasonable not to give weekend guests wardrobe space?

We are currently renovating our house; my husband thinks we should be allowing at least a foot of wardrobe space for guests. I think this is unnecessary as we only have weekend guests.

It’s funny reading this thread. The consensus seems to be that organising your stuff so that part of the spare room wardrobe is at least clear is seen as an imposition but I was reading a thread a few weeks ago where the consensus was that an en-suite should be definitely for guests over fully residential kids, to give those guests ‘space’.

I don’t understand how that matches up and maybe the threads attract totally different aibu readers but it’s just odd to me.

To me, a guest should absolutely have wardrobe space (and I will declare space our guest rooms both have the wardrobe, bedside tables and chest of drawers clear) but when our new one is born the spare with the en-suite will absolutely become the baby’s room (to match the fact that our older child has an en suite) and then guests will still have wardrobe space but have to use the main upstairs bathroom...
