Considering booking a week In Cyprus for half term. Found a good deal, is that a really stupid thing to do given that cases are on the rise?

I think that you would be foolish to book that holiday.

Not unreasonable - but perhaps unduly optimistic?

Depends how much it costs, and how bad you'd feel if you had to cancel and couldn't get any refund.

Personally I'm strongly considering booking flights to Italy (I've never seen flights so cheap in half-term!); but I won't book accommodation until much closer to the departure date.

There's a high chance the UK will go on Cyprus prohibited list and you won't be able to go. If you want to go then just ensure you book with an airline who give flexibility/ refunds just in case.
