To think you can just skip a period?

I've just realised I didnt get my period this month. It was supposed to have come two weeks ago I think. At the moment I am struggling with massive debilitating panic attacks and am highly stressed and anxious. I have never skipped a period before.
YANBU = Stress can make you skip a period
YABU = That's unlikely

Yes, it happens. I’m 34 and two cycles ago my period just never happened, I was stressed about that fact, but not stressed in general. I was worried I was going to miss out on having any children and it was early menopause and all kinds of things. Once I did some reading and figured out that for whatever reason I probably didn’t ovulate that month (I distinctly remember thinking “I don’t think I’ve ovulated” when my calendar indicated it was due) and then my period didn’t happen either, I came to relax a little bit, and then my next cycle carried on as normal.

It's possible, but if you're sexually active I wouldn't think it's the most likely scenario.
