DS had a cough over the weekend. Got a test on Sunday and still waiting for results - 48 hours +

There were a few things I ordered last week that are turning up this week. So no new orders.

I assume even in isolation it's okay to receive parcels? I get that many parcels sent that the local couriers just know to knock and leave on step. If my car is outside I'm in 🤣

So assume that's fine??

Oh only scrubbed our front door the other day as it was muddy from the dog. I also spray the dettol aerosol spray in my letter box most days to keep the postman safe. DS is known to pe

So yeah all fine?

Sure his test will be negative. He had a cough after a heavy cold 😷 none of us are poorly!

What about a food shop? I regularly get my shopping delivered but they often dump the crates into my doorway. Could I request it's hey left outside in bags or just sit and wait for results?

As it is you who are potentially the risk to others receiving parcels and deliveries should be fine, Just have no contact with the delivery people.

I, on the other hand, am also in isolation awaiting surgery on Friday. They are a potential risk to me so I'm ignoring the doorbell and the post can wait for 24 hours before I touch it.

Maybe put a sign on the door saying "we are self isolating, please leave parcel and step back" so theres no risk of the delivery person standing too close.

Thank you. Generally they drop parcel onto our step, knock and walk off or stand back so should be safe... just would hate the thought of putting anyone in danger. I think I'm only due 1 more parcel this week. I won't make any new orders just yet.
