Prolapse/Exercises

Hello I'm fairly new here and am looking for a bit of advice.
After having my second baby I have a prolapse, I'm pretty sure it's a rectocele but not been confirmed. On my check up the nurse did confirm I have a prolapse but not the exact.
After googling it to death. I'm trying to figure out what exercises I can do for my core without making my prolapse worse?
Sorry its all over the place.

There are lots of exercises that you shouldn't do with a prolapse but not many that give the green light. Specifically for the stomach area.

I have been to my doctor about it but she was just vague and its 'normal' after a baby. Iv lost my baby weight I'm doing my kegels and the prolapse isn't 'bothering' me as much as did a few months ago. I just want to be able to exercise safely. Just wondered if anyone else on here hass been in my situation and what exercises they can/could do.

Prolapses aren't normal at all, don't be fobbed off. Ask for a referral

Fem Fusion on YouTube is good. She’s a doctor who does lots of prolapse sage exercises. Definitely ask to be referred to physio but expect a long wait, especially just now

I have been in this situation and sadly, ended up having surgery . If I knew then what I know now I would have seen a Women's Health physio , looked diaphragmatic breathing ( belly breathing creates downward pressure and can accelerate a prolapse ) and started core safe exercises . I have done all these things since surgery to ensure things do not deteriorate again but I wish I'd known about them before and maybe I would have avoided surgery .
A good online core programme is Restore your core by Lauren Ohayon . She also has loads of free resources on her Restore your core Facebook group .

Please get referred to physio, if you just do a bunch of exercises off the Internet you can't be sure your alignment is correct and you could do more damage than good. Don't take the risk, get professional help.

Thank you so much for the replies I really appreciate it. I will definitely ask for a referral (god knows how long that will take) is there any safe exercises I can do in the meantime for my core or do you think I will have to wait to be referred? So frustrating 😩

Follow @gussetgrippers on twitter. She's a physio and comedian, does funny reminders to do your exercises.

And get a referral.
