Non alcoholic wine during pregnancy

Since I found I was pregnant at 3 1/2 weeks I have not had any booze (before anyone piles on I am 43, post chemo and not used any barriers for 5 years as the chance of pregnancy was officially designated so low). I have, however, had non alcoholic wine (the one that has 0.0% on the bottle) but then I read a report online that said even these non alcoholic wines and beers have ‘secret’ booze leading to rather unsettling thoughts that I am damaging the baby. Do you think it’s the case or is it just another way of making pregnant women feel shit. After all, alcoholics drink non alchoholic wine and no one would say they were off the wagon....

Think some have 0.05% alcohol which is a negligible amount.

If you leave fresh orange juice open for a couple of days that'll have some alcohol in it as well.

I honestly wouldn't worry!

There is more danger in an egg than in a 0% alcohol wine. I am guessing you are a FTM. My genuine advice would be try your best food wise, obviously dont drink real wine, and stay away from google. Baby will be fine. They are sturdier than you think.

I very much doubt it, the amounts are negligible.

I am teetotal and drink lots of

You won’t have caused any harm at all. Even the odd glass of actual wine wouldn’t have harmed your baby.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

0.5% is negligible, there's more alcohol in 3 day old fruit juice! It's not going to affect your baby whatsoever.

I drank Rawsons Retreat 0.5% sparkling wine throughout pregnancy. It's the only alcohol free wine I could find that wasn't like drinking ribena - it's lovely and dry whereas most are revolting sweet. I highly recommend, it's pretty close to the real thing Smile
