It’s not anything I’ve seen before it’s completely flat and doesn’t lose its colour when pressed.

The above emoticon was meant to be Grin not looking like a grimace!

I also meant to say thank you ☺

DottyDotAgain · 15/09/2020 15:57

Yes I get these and you do notice them because of the red colour, even though they're tiny!

ScarMatty · 15/09/2020 16:13

In the nicest way possible, I don't think you're helping her anxiety.
In fact you're fuelling it

DoubleDolphin · 15/09/2020 16:17

Cherry angioma, I've got loads. Nothing to worry about.

thedaywewillremeber · 15/09/2020 19:21

She’s only 20 I thought cherry angiomas were more common in older adults?

Suzi888 · 15/09/2020 19:23

It looks like a pin prick of blood- it can happen if she’s been in the sun.

thedaywewillremeber · 15/09/2020 19:28

She’s not been in then sun she says she sometimes develops them in patches.

@thedaywewillremeber

It is very interesting how you're only responding to posts that you feel might solve it, but then you simply respond saying "no it's not that"

It's quite clear you're behaviour is definitely just as anxious/in denial and I highly doubt it helps your daughter

BertieBotts · 15/09/2020 19:39

I have thousands of these all over my arms, as well as ketosis pilaris. It's totally normal and nothing to worry about, but she can have it checked by a GP if she is concerned.

DoubleDolphin · 15/09/2020 19:50

"She’s only 20 I thought cherry angiomas were more common in older adults?"
My daughter had one age 12 on her face. Took her to the gp, he said it would go. It did.

Suzi888 · 15/09/2020 20:13

Hmmm I googled! Which I normally wouldn’t, could not be Petechiae? If she’s worried and anxious then maybe needs a visit to the G.P or a pharmacist might know. It’s difficult on here, as we can’t see it clearly.

Newjez · 15/09/2020 21:02

I'm Australian. I've had a dozen bcc and sunspots burnt off my face, and my sister had a melanoma.

Your spot is nothing to worry about. But if you are worried, post covid, see your GP.

Wolfiefan · 15/09/2020 21:04

She has health anxiety.
That’s what she needs to focus on.
Your asking strangers on MN about what they think about a blurry photo won’t help.

thedaywewillremeber · 16/09/2020 13:35

It’s basically impossible for her to get an appointment with a gp at the moment.

OP posts:
Sparkletastic · 16/09/2020 13:37

Do you and your daughter suffer from health anxiety OP?

Tippexy · 16/09/2020 13:38

It’s a freckle. Please do not take a GP’s appointment for this.

Wolfiefan · 16/09/2020 13:51

Sounds like you both have health anxiety OP. That’s what needs addressing.

ScarMatty · 16/09/2020 14:12

Good because she doesn't need one and it's a waste of both time and money
