Hello

I’m looking for a women’s coat preferably using recycled materials. Can anyone suggest some to me?

There was a thread a while ago and someone suggested a company that only had a few coats but I’ve lost the details.

Thank you

Goggle is your friend. It's dead easy, you just type "Ladies recycled coats" or something similar.............................

Now what is your AIBU?

Patagonia use a lot of recycled materials, but they may be too sporty/technical for you.

Thanks for taking the time to answer 😀

I agree but my point was that the OP may get better results posting in Style and Beauty.

Also there are such things as online reviews and if in doubt just look on Trust Pilot or some such website.

I apologise OP I was out of order, it's not excusing it but I am currently surviving on 2 hours sleep and a pot of coffee to get me through the day after being up most of the night with SEN DS15 who will just not bloody sleep!

Again, it's absolutely no excuse my being a bitch and I am genuinely sorry.

@Handsoffisback Oh and I forgot to say Thank you to you for pulling me up on it. Totally unnecessary, I've given myself a slap! :)

You haven't said what type of coat (trenchcoat, wool, technical waterproof, something else) but I'm currently in the process of researching and hopefully sourcing a really nice walking jacket that's waterproof, mid thigh level, not too hideous in case I decide to wear it for work and the bit that I'm currently struggling with, a pocket big enough to hold an OS map so I can go on walks without having to take a rucksack (nothing remote so I don't need full emergency kit). Most websites are lacking in this vital detail, although I have noticed a few mentioning use of recycled materials.

Anyway, my shortlist, with the help of some Mumsnet threads is currently:

Didriksons
Seasalt
Jack Wolfskin (I did think this was a fashion brand but I may be wrong and/or confusing with Jack Wills)
Rohan
Berghaus
Possibly Craghoppers

Anyway, next step is to visit some outdoor shops to try some on and investigate the map pocket situation.
