How can you avoid? I keep getting myself into situations as I’m friendly, bubbly and chatty. I’ve noticed the really cold and abrupt people don’t have any issues.

? Situations like what? And you don't know what other people's issues are...

How does being friendly bubbly and chatty get you into situations? 🧐

ComeOnBabyPopMyBubble · 13/09/2020 12:46

I keep myself to myself. I talk to everyone but just normal things. I don't take sides or spread gossip.

I pick which social events I attend.

Haven't been involved in any dramas or issues in 4 years,and there have been plenty.

There’s a difference between chatty and being a gossip.
I come across as bubbly and chatty (I’m the opposite and I’m an introvert at heart but this is the facade I have at work) I will talk to anyone but I will not gossip.
“Eeh have you heard Michelle did X” no but did you watch X tv show last night?
“You’ll never guess what Bill’s got a disciplinary today” oh no I hope everything works out, have you got the spreadsheet for this case?
“That Lisa is such a bitch have you heard what she did” no and I don’t want to thank you, how’s that gorgeous baby of yours?
Jimmy has been saying X, Y, Z. That sounds difficult you should have a chat with your manager about it.

@Rose789

Thank you so much! That’s fantastic advice. I feel bad cutting people off so I have to sit there listening to stuff I rather not and worry as I nod along. What you’ve written is fantastic. So change subject each time. I’ll try it!
