Someone once asked for my autograph when I was 17...they thought I was Billie Piper 🤔

More recently a friend chased Victoria Coren down the street, thinking she was me.

Gillian Anderson, Sophie Dahl.

Britney Spears and Melissa Joan Hart and have been told this on and off since the 90s as we are a similar age.
I think I do look like MJH but I not so much like Britney!

As a child i was always called Betty Boo (the one or two hit wonder singer, not the cartoon Betty Boop)
The as a young adult it was Tina from S Club 7

an Adult Mara Wilson (Matilda). Apparently she gave up acting in adulthood cos she wasn't classically beautiful.

i am of chinese heritage so it doesn't even make much sense. But i can see some resemblance in certain lights and we wear quite similar makeup, i suppose.

Scarlett Johanssen apparently. I've been told this repeatedly by different people at different times. I do not see it at all but I guess it's flattering?

My DH hasn’t got a celebrity lookalike but on several occasions people have assumed he’s French. First when he was in his teens, he said a group of drunk women on a bus asked him if he was French - then a few times when we’ve been travelling abroad (mostly Spain) we gave been approached by people who started speaking French to him, and English to me.

Hmm...Do we really believe there are SO many Cheryl Cole/Vivienne Leigh/Elle MacPherson/Julia Roberts/Kardashians etc lookalikes strolling around?! Judging by this thread there'd be a stunning actress or model lookalike on every street corner! Funny how very few people resemble an "unattractive" older woman ...or maybe not....

@Bbq1 it’s not particularly odd - when people compare others to celebrities they don’t generally intend to offend so will over flatter.

I did have a friend who got told often she looked like Hayley Mills, which she was always very offended by if that helps?

Sophie Dahl. I’m a good decade younger than her so sometimes it smarts a bit!

@Passmethechocolatecake I can’t recall seeing Sophie Dahl at all in recent years, so I’d assume whoever said it was referring to when she was younger. She’s an incredibly striking woman, I’d not baulk at being told I look like her!

Apparently (according to my dad) I'm a cross between Suranne Jones and Jodie Comer. Really can't see it myself 😂
