We are having a leisurely Saturday. I'm still in bed killing time on my phone sipping coffee.
Brought (otherwise very much loved DP) a coffee (that he requested) which he downed in one and then went back to sleep snoring into my right ear. WTAF?!

*yes, I know caffeine is meant to take 45min to kick in. But still.

Yes - Yanbu. This is a heinous crime and needs to be punishes.
No - Yabu. Let the poor man sleep.

Also, what is the most infuriating harmless thing your significant other does?

This thread and the weighing DH one have reminded me why MN is an excellent way to start my weekend.

I have also squirrelled away the verb 'patioing' for future use.

YANBU OP. I'd ignore him all day, and curtly tell him you're fine if he asks. Avoid eye contact.

Then harvest his organs for the thighs once he (inevitably Hmm) falls asleep AGAIN.

Viviennemary · 12/09/2020 10:10

You sound very controlling.

Tanders · 12/09/2020 10:11

ExDH used to drink so much coffee at all hours of the day, which is fine, it used to be a bit gross but similarly he can do as he pleases; but he would have one around 10pm and then moan he couldn't sleep. So he would come up to bed and toss and turn and make a performance out of it before demanding a lie in the next day as he hadnt slept. The evenings he didn't bother having one he slept fine, but weirdly coffee didn't have the same effect in the mornings, he was always moaning about the fact it didn't wake him up gahhh.

nevermorelenore · 12/09/2020 10:35

Bad move for your DH. I get weird as hell dreams when I caffeine nap and then remember them vividly all day. Very refreshing though.

Bingo!

What were you expecting him to do, laying awake together in bed instead of going back to sleep?

If he wasn't going to get laid then of course he went to sleep. YABU.

I think there are some bored types lurking on MN this morning.

Is he up yet OP?

Nikori · 12/09/2020 13:15

My DH is a soaker. I've had many a fantasy about patioing him after finding something partially filled with water.

What does this mean?

StillCoughingandLaughing · 12/09/2020 13:58

Frankly I’d rather sleep too. You sound like a pain in the arse, LIGHTHEARTED or not.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 12/09/2020 14:00

Leaving me wide awake (WHO goes back to bed all sweaty from a dog walk???) and bored.

Do grown women really get bored if their partner sleeps later than they do?

Zaphodsotherhead · 12/09/2020 15:04

When I was stuck in his house, without my laptop or my books or anyone to talk to, damn straight I got bored.

RubyTheRockingHorse · 12/09/2020 15:07

YANBU, that is very unnatural and wrong! I'm sorry, but I think your DP is broken op Sad.

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 12/09/2020 15:36

Mine comes in the room to tell me something important in his eyes and when I put the TV on hold to listen. He says Oh OK sorry I didn't mean to disturb you I'll go. Then leaves. Idiot, I stop the show to listen not as a passive aggressive what do you want now message.

110APiccadilly · 12/09/2020 16:42

"Also, what is the most infuriating harmless thing your significant other does?"

If we're sitting in the living room, DH has this habit of constantly sliding his foot in and out of his slipper. Just all the time! I know I am being U, but it drives me nuts!
