To ask if any of you have this Jellycat?

A couple of days ago, I won a Jellycat on eBay that I’ve been searching for yet the sale was cancelled after payment due to another buyer offering more.

I am desperately seeking this Jellycat in large size (36cm head to toe) for a young relative. I don’t want to give away too many details as I feel this post is already identifying as I’ve been posting everywhere I can - I have name changed too.

They sell for a lot of money on eBay and I would be willing to pay via PayPal goods and services if anyone had one they would consider selling.

I would really appreciate it! This Jellycat is retired and can no longer be purchased.

I have one u are welcome to it will dig it out tomorrow

BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 22:09

@Cazza6474

Wow! Really? I’d be so grateful.
If it’s really the same colour and size they are worth a lot of money so I’m happy to agree a price that you’re happy with.

My son has bluebell bunny in medium. It's quite purple really but not lilac (we have that one too). We thankfully have 2 of the bluebells so we have a spare, but we are at the stage where they need to stay in his bedroom so that we don't run the risk of losing them. They pretty much can't be replaced, as this thread has shown!

The only place I've had luck seeing them at a decent price was as part of a bundle where someone was selling all their old jellycat toys together. I'd love a 2nd spare for real emergencies so maybe I'll follow some links.

Hope you find get the bunny OP! Fingers crossed!

BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 22:24

@DontBelongHere

They are hard to find, aren’t they? The bigger issue here is the size (and colour combined). If I see a cheap medium I could let you know although they tend to go fast! I’ve seen a few go for £40 BNWT recently which isn’t terrible but isn’t cheap.

how frustrating that there are probably hundreds of these in homes all over the world forgotten about and you’re desperate to get one!
good luck!

DontBelongHere · 11/09/2020 22:31

Thanks - yes the mediums on eBay at the moment seem to be really expensive and over £45+ seems painful. Worth it for my DS's happiness! It's annoying - the last time I had a really good look for medium bluebells, all I could find were large ones! That was a while ago now.

We managed to lose our DDs first bunny which is the cream one with polkadot ears, now discontinued and horribly expensive to replace. We got a blossom replacement and she didn't really seem to notice - phew!

Remember about Gumtree and Facebook selling pages as well. Something might randomly come up on there.

DookaDakkaDikku · 11/09/2020 22:31

Hope the poster above can help OP. I was searching on Japanese auction sites earlier in case a search in a different alphabet threw something up, but no luck. I did see a lot of other Jellycats that I was very tempted by... :D

BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 22:45

@strappedup
It is frustrating! Especially since I’m willing to pay a decent price for it but they’re just not aware anyone is looking.

@DontBelongHere One of the dotty eared bunnies goes for about £300 I think as they’re a Canadian exclusive - crazy!

@DookaDakkaDikku
Thank you so much! I’m hoping it is the correct one and it’s not important to the other poster

Hi OP, I don’t think ours is the right size. It’s 30cm from head to toe, so presume this is a medium?

BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 22:56

@WizardOfAus
Yours is a medium I think and looks like they’re very well loved by someone too! He’s the right colour though :)

Legoandloldolls · 11/09/2020 23:01

When was it discontinued? There are a small chain of shops near me who have quite a selection of jellycats and they never go into any sales, so I could have a look if it was a year or so ago?

WizardOfAus · 11/09/2020 23:02

@BluebellJellycat. Yes, ours is called “Floppy”. She was DS’s number one toy for a long time, but mostly sits on the shelf these days. She’s definitely been through the wash a few times. Sorry we couldn’t help.

BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 23:02

@Legoandloldolls
I thought it was 2019 but jellycat said 2020 in an email! I’d really appreciate it but please don’t go too far out of your way. Thank you

OP posts:
BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 23:04

@WizardOfAus
That’s okay, thank you anyway! I wouldn’t have taken lovely Floppy even if you’d offered. She’s obviously been very well loved and kids go through stages and she might be on a shelf now but in the future she might be greatly missed.

DontBelongHere · 11/09/2020 23:09

We got our first Bluebell in Jan 2016, another one around a year later and since then have found them difficult to source. They must stop producing and distributing them long before they officially retire them.

I can't believe that about the polkadot ears one. I was gutted losing it but extra gutted to know it was so rare!

BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 23:12

@DontBelongHere This one shocked me the most! A wee boy has one as his comforter (proven with pics) and mum can’t find a replacement anywhere.. I wonder why

I know a lady found 2 bluebells in a shop last week but they were medium

That sounds promising. Dont worry, they have a nice cafe so what more reason could I need? Kids are back at school. I need a excuse to get out

BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 23:22

@Legoandloldolls
As Don’t said they seem to have been harder to find for much longer but, you never know, there may be one lurking somewhere!

Legoandloldolls · 11/09/2020 23:33

Omg I have just seen that my dd one is retired now! Alas, her is a well loved double amputee. I feel the panic rising already

BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 23:40

@Legoandloldolls
Oh dear! Do you know which Jellycat it is?

OP posts:
Legoandloldolls · 11/09/2020 23:47

Mine is a cream blossom bashful so still easy to find on Ebay. I might buy a spare now as she is 6 and still adores it.

BluebellJellycat · 11/09/2020 23:53

@Legoandloldolls
I highly recommend fleurtations for any currently in stock Jellycats, cheapest price I’ve found - £14.45 for the medium. Free delivery on orders over £20

Not sure if these have been mentioned. Check out Corfe Bears in Swanage and Paws in the Forest in Lyndhurst. Both fantastic shops with really knowledgeable owners.
