To ask if any of you have this Jellycat?

A couple of days ago, I won a Jellycat on eBay that I’ve been searching for yet the sale was cancelled after payment due to another buyer offering more.

I am desperately seeking this Jellycat in large size (36cm head to toe) for a young relative. I don’t want to give away too many details as I feel this post is already identifying as I’ve been posting everywhere I can - I have name changed too.

They sell for a lot of money on eBay and I would be willing to pay via PayPal goods and services if anyone had one they would consider selling.

I would really appreciate it! This Jellycat is retired and can no longer be purchased.

Sorry for typos, just woke up. ☕

( I hope you feel better soon, OP. Please don't cry any more! Flowers )

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 15:57

@FirTree01
Ahh, you are just the best! Thank you so much, I’ve messaged a few too but there are so many and I haven’t heard anything back yet.

It’s very much appreciated

I really really hoped that someone here would have one sat on their desk/about to go to charity/unloved by the kids and I could buy it and everyone would benefit :(

That explains why the medium with flowery ears disappeared from the nursery bag never to be seen again then! I was heartbroken as it was DC2’s special bunny from DC1 when he was born!

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 16:13

@Flamingolingo
Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that! It’s even more terrible than what has happened to me :(. Yes, they sell for a lot of money if you’d like a replacement, I unfortunately don’t own one but I can keep an eye out and buy any cheap ones if you have a rough budget?

Unfortunately, the order is likely to be cancelled if you really do get a bargain. It seems to happen a lot. The last medium was up less than 5 minutes and an offer was accepted for £82. That is considered a ‘good price’

@BluebellJellycat

We have loads (my babies are using them and we don’t have your colour!) but I didn’t know they were worth anything!?

FirTree01 · 13/09/2020 16:19

@BluebellJellycat ^ I know, I thought the same thing when I first started reading the thread. I didn't think it would be so difficult tbh, I thought you'd probably just get one here.

Btw, the 15 inch ones are very easy for me to get in other colors (just to give you more options to ponder in case it helps). 15 is available in Cream, Blush, Gray, dark grey/Woodland and pastel blue/Beau. They're showing up as next day delivery on Amazon which means they're sitting on a shelf in the Durham warehouse which is 20 mins from my house.

Also, no problems so far with Plum - I had another email to thank me for my order and no mention of it being out of stock. I've gotta run now to get ready to go out, but if a blue one crops up, don't worry if you decide you don't want both blue and plum, I could always just return plum and say it wasn't as expected, or whatever, they do allow returns. Just to let you know there's flexibility there, it doesn't bother me. Smile

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 16:19

@Wakemeupwhenthisisover
Jellycat retired them and then they become hard to find and collectors fight for them making them worth a lot of money. Some go for £400+

Have you checked shops that sell Jellycat in Ireland ?
Jellycat office should have a list of stockists.
I'll check 2 pharmacies near me that sells them. On the off chance they have one.
It will be tomorrow as they are closed today.

Flamingolingo · 13/09/2020 16:25

@BluebellJellycat that’s very kind but it’s ok. It was quite a long time ago now. I just had no idea it was valuable. And I remember being annoyed at the lack of ‘active looking’ for it at the time (and then about 2 weeks later getting an email asking everyone to look for some plain grey jogging bottoms). Glad we are not at nursery any more!

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 16:32

@FirTree01
Thank you so much! You’ve been so helpful to us!

@LadyEloise
Thank you so much! I’ll have a look at more Irish stockists

@Flamingolingo
Aw bless you. It is so shitty of someone to do that :(

No idea about how legitimate the website is though

FelicityPike · 13/09/2020 18:03

Have you tried Waterstones?

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 18:05

@FelicityPike
I have tried individual stores but I’ve never tried emailing them on a company-wide scale

FelicityPike · 13/09/2020 18:11

You can only ask 🤞🏻

Legoandloldolls · 13/09/2020 18:11

I have three more shops I can try. One of the shops did a "save our high street" in July and they had a medium behind them on the shelf.

Have you tried to jojo Mama babe Facebook pages? Do a wanted post as jojo stocked jelly cat

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 18:15

@Legoandloldolls
Do you know if that shop has a Facebook page? And I’ll drop them a message

@FelicityPike

We got some of our more unusual jellies from this shop. They had a very full window display last time I was walking past. Good luck OP! Hope you manage to track one down

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 18:29

@SleepingInYourFlowerbed
Tried them, thank you though!

@BluebellJellycat it's a really long post so sorry if you covered this, did you complain to eBay!? I'm sure that's against the T&Cs and an absolute heartbreak after winning a bid to just be let down. What an awful person.

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 18:30

@Panpig
They said they’d get back to me but they’re 99% sure they don’t have one

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 18:31

@User43210
I did yes, I’ve been given a £5 voucher to use by the 22nd as an apology Sad from eBay
