deceitful supervisor pinched my Zoom slot

I scheduled a Zoom call for an important meeting for next Wednesday, at 1-3pm. I booked this several weeks ago.

Today I saw that my supervisor has sneakily changed the time slot for my meeting, changing it from 1-3pm to 1-3am. He was then able to use this afternoon timeslot to schedule his own important meeting for 1-3pm on Wednesday.

This leaves me unable to host the meeting with clients as planned, which is very embarrassing for myself and doesn't look good for my department. Work has only said they will buy one Zoom Pro account because we are such a small team. One option is that I simply pay for my own Zoom Pro account out of my own cash...

We are a department with only 4 people and we usually work really well together. I know my supervisor has been stressed recently, but I'm surprised at how deceitful he has been. Our jobs are at risk and I wonder if he is trying to avoid being seen in a bad light during this time when redundancies are looming.

Please help me to consider what I need to do now regarding my supervisor? If I went to my supervisor to complain, he would gaslight me and say it was me who accidentally booked a 1am meeting when I'm certain this is not the case because I double checked it. I am also worried this may happen again.

To be honest I would think that you just made a mistake. I double check everything and I've done it before on zoom.

Zoom's security is now really tight.

How has someone else been able to get into your meeting settings? Are you all using the same account then? And why do you think he would do that?

I suppose I could have made the error myself, but I have anxiety so I double and triple check these types of things.

The other day I lost something quite important. I knew exactly where I had put it (and it wasn't exactly hidden away - it was on the coffee table). When I went to get it it wasn't there. I looked around. Not anywhere. Started searching. No where. Blamed the dog, although what on earth he could have done with it I don't know. Sat down two hours later and there it was on the coffee table, exactly where I thought it was! I live alone that the dog isn't actually that clever. I have no idea why I couldn't see it, but....everyone has idiotic lapses, and that was one of mine. Putting the wrong time in is easy! Sometimes, if you check something often enough you don't see anything at all. Like the typo on the document you proof read twice, only to instantly spot it as the 250th copy rolls off the printer!

TheSeedsOfADream Because he wanted the slot.

Thanks all who responded. Perhaps I did make the error. I will take it on the chin!!

Yes, my entire organisation is using one zoom pro account. We are a bit strapped for cash... Didnt know there was anything wrong with this.
