is this too much for a mortgage

Moving house and really pushing ourselves, new mortgage is going to be over £500k, is this crazy or do other people have big mortgages too, ours has always been a lot less than this but approaching 40 and we feel we should go for it!

has anyone done / said anything to offend op ? just wondering what they thought of responses on here. unless it's a wind up

Harry and Meghan's mortgage is a lot more. And it doesn't seem to be bothering them. But then they've just signed a £100m deal. And I doubt you have. So in other words no point in asking when nobody knows what your outgoings are or even your earnings.
