As we have had fictional characters

I would say
Piers Morgan.

OP posts:
spinningspaniels · 08/07/2021 12:52

Yep, Amanda Holden gets my vote.

IsThePopeCatholic · 08/07/2021 13:09

Alan Davies - not as funny as he thinks he is
Tess Daley - thick and wooden

bruffin · 08/07/2021 13:16

I have it on very good authority that Simon Pegg is a huge, SUPREME lord of C#nts
Really, my DS lifeguarded a childrens swimming party which Simon Peggs child attended . Simon Pegg was quiet and unassuming

Funkyslippers · 08/07/2021 13:36

Duckypoohs I thought Gillian Anderson had a British accent anyway

Rhinothunder · 08/07/2021 13:37

Prince Harry. Especially shoulder tapping.

Funkyslippers · 08/07/2021 14:04

Lorraine Kelly - so false, smug & unfunny
Dan Wootten - his voice annoys me
Andi Peters - the way he says "one hundred GRAND!!!" annoys me
Darcey Bussell on SCD was rubbish (said 100 words when 10 would have sufficed) and I'm really not sure that Motsi is any better
Cat Deeley - nobody is really that happy
Most 'celebs' on Celebrity Gogglebox at the mo - I'm just jealous as I reckon DD and I could do better

AnnaSW1 · 08/07/2021 14:07

Alexandra Burke

TheVolturi · 08/07/2021 14:15

James Corden
Holly Willoughby (for the spin the wheel dancing alone)
Richard Madeley

Youdiditanyway · 08/07/2021 14:23

Keith Lemon is a horrible character but I have heard Leigh Francis is lovely and very quiet.

Can’t stand James Corden.

Youdiditanyway · 08/07/2021 14:25

Victoria Coren.

She’s a bit of a twat, as is Holly Willoughby IRL. My friend is a stylist so has met both numerous times and doesn’t like either of them. David Mitchell is reportedly lovely but often has to apologise for her shitty behaviour.

Twelvetimestwo · 08/07/2021 14:25

Suzanna Reid

Fiercestcalm · 08/07/2021 14:35

Ant and Dec ( Mr Drink Drive)
Jimmy. Carr ( tax dodger with irritating laugh)
Phillip Schofield (smug)

LadyFidgetAndHerHandbag · 08/07/2021 14:38

@Funkyslippers

Me too. I'm sure her 'put on' accent is the American one. Sometimes hearing accents that are different to expected can make them feel fake even if the actor is using their real accent. I find Steve 'mate' Arnott's Scottish accent fake even though he is actually Scottish cos I'm used to him being English.
FanFckingTastic · 08/07/2021 14:38

Kay Burley. 100% awful in my opinion. She seems very full of her own importance and has to get the last word in on every issue. Aggressive, insensitive and looks a bit like she's chewing a wasp.

Brunandcroissant · 08/07/2021 14:43

There are several presenters on our tv who are well past their due by date. Not because of their age, but because they've been doing it for so long that they often look bored, aloof and also seem to have accumulated little substance in their personalities over the years.

Lorraine Kelly was so rude to Pamela Anderson in an interview in recent years (and Anderson does a hell of a lot for environmental and animal causes). After that I couldn't abide her. It was a jealous sort of passive aggressiveness, talking over her and reducing her to her looks. She seems cheerful and even genuine only with people who tick her boxes.

Eamonn Holmes looks bored most of the time nowadays. Richard Madeley too.

None of these people feel like they live in a real world - nothing to do with fame, many celebs DO have an interest in specific subjects and causes. But these tv presenters are lacking a genuine calling (or particular philanthropic cause) with current affairs, unless it revolves around a very coveted, sedentary middle class lifestyle.

The fawning and faking interest in people, when it's so clearly only for the job, puts me off them. Rant over!

AudacityBaby · 08/07/2021 14:47

Who's the woman that's caring for Theodore? Her.

Tampax Get Em Up There Girls woman.

The narrator of the Pampers advert. "Imagine how intensely babies feel every part of their world! So imagine how uncomfortable they must feel in a wet nappy!" No I'm good thanks.

Sheridan Smith. Why does she talk like her audience is primary school children?

Paddy McGuinness. Mrs Browns Boys. Johnny Vegas. The one I mix up with Johnny Vegas but isn't him. Amanda Holden. David Walliams. Davina McCall. Keith Lemon. Greg Wallace. Anyone on The Voice. Everyone on The Masked Singer.

JAMIE OLIVER.

I could go on.

Tal45 · 08/07/2021 14:50

Oh has to be Stephen Mulhern, talk about desperate to be on tv, he has no shame and will literally do anything.
Amanda Holden is a very close second though.

ElsieMc · 08/07/2021 14:52

David Lammy MP. So offended by everything. Its like the feeling you get when you see a Police car in your rearview mirror.

Therese Coffey. An awful watch on every level. So angry, cross and lacking in empathy and compassion.

Philip Schofield, Ronan Keating.

Susannah Reid is insufferably smug since Piers went. I preferred the show then (don't judge me). Only Richard Madeley seems to be able to cope with her although she has started correcting him.

Fckingfuming · 08/07/2021 15:06

This is why I don't watch normal TV, unless there are some good shows recommended on here, then I'll watch on catch-up. Can't stand most of the people named, (and also don't recognise some), it's primarily the ITV luvvies that get my back up.

WithANameLikeDaniCalifornia · 08/07/2021 15:16

@CanICelebrate

Oh no - someone I know has been mentioned on this thread! She is lovely in real life and not annoying at all.
Oh come on, you need to tell us.
Elle200 · 08/07/2021 15:18

Philip Schofield, loathe him.

WithANameLikeDaniCalifornia · 08/07/2021 15:20

@CanICelebrate you’ll be doing your friend a favour by telling us all she’s lovely and making us see her in a new positive light.

CreamPantsuit · 08/07/2021 15:33

Holly Willoughby. I hate the way she starts crying when someone has a sad story and just makes it all about herself.

SpicyTinkle · 08/07/2021 15:35

James Corden. W⚓️

ILookAtTheFloor · 08/07/2021 15:36

I can't stand Nick Knowles.

Can't abide him.
