What do people think of the treatments being offered here?
Babysteps
The website states "The initial assessment is with leading edge medical technologies that assesses every aspect of your physical health. This is important because the human organism is very complex with so many different things going on at once, we need to look at how things are in correlation with one another".

And

"The test itself only takes a couple of minutes and is completely non-invasive. You are fully clothed except for your bare feet. Electrodes are placed on your forehead but you don’t feel anything. Your hands and feet are placed on metal plates connected to the computer. The computer then analyses the data for your therapist to interpret".

They offer:
Digital Pulse Wave Analysis.
Voice analysis sound therapy.

Interested to hear thoughts. Thanks

Absolute rubbish!!!

Parkandride · 07/09/2020 16:02

It sounds bollocks
Spend your money on a semen analysis, scan and bloods if you want to look at your fertility

Orangesandlemons82 · 07/09/2020 16:03

Agree with @Parkandride. I'm not anti alternative medicine but this sounds ridiculous.

SerenDippitty · 07/09/2020 16:04

Sounds like a load of bollocks to me. But they know how desperate couples wanting a baby are.

DolphinsAndNemesis · 07/09/2020 16:11

"The human organism is very complex." Er, yes. Especially the brain. And anyone with a brain in their head will know that this test will reveal precisely nothing about a person's fertility.

Zilla1 · 07/09/2020 16:17

I would say no but you could ask them for their evidence base and assess it (if you want a laugh).

Have you undergone the established tests yet, OP?

Good luck.

TheHappyHerbivore · 07/09/2020 16:19

Haven’t ever heard of it before but it sounds like absolute shite. How could any data gleaned from an electrode on your forehead possibly give any insight into your fertility?

KrisAkabusi · 07/09/2020 16:20

I looked their website, specifically looking at the medical scan details in your link. It uses the word quantum, therefore it's a pile of shit.

bravotango · 07/09/2020 16:21

Nonsense

TheHappyHerbivore · 07/09/2020 16:24

The first technology is made up of 7 different modalities to simultaneously test many different aspects of the human body. It is a gold standard device with high sensitivity and high specificity. It connects the dots together because of the number of different modalities to pinpoint the cause using so many different parameters. This device is able to measure homeostasis.

This in particular is total medical terminology word salad. There isn’t a single sentence which actually tells you what they’re testing for and how they do it.

Mrbay · 07/09/2020 16:26

Sounds like a body fat monitor, not sure what they can gain from this that will help with fertility.

If it was such an amazing piece of kit, 90% of IVF clinics would be falling over themselves to offer it.

Save your money :) - I say that as a woman currently going through IVF.

LaurieFairyCake · 07/09/2020 16:37

Totally legit

On another note I've got some snake oil you can buy - only £250 a litre

It's also good for worms 🐛

Nottherealslimshady · 07/09/2020 16:42

Total bull.

This

After 10yrs ttc and 5 ivf finally got preg

Have bloods amh Fsh semen Tested as basics

Having electrodes on you wil not tell if infertile or will struggle ttc

AliceAbsolum · 07/09/2020 17:46

Nope.

Good embryos are the main factor in having a baby. Unless there is a specific functional problem diagnosed then spend the money on embryos - Embryoscope/ICSI, etc.

OneFootintheRave · 07/09/2020 17:48

So it's unanimous then. A steaming pile. I had thought so but wanted to ask in a neutral way.

How are they allowed to make these claims?

OP posts:
Queenfreak · 07/09/2020 17:50

What a load of shit.
I've had ivf previously, and going through it again. The tests we both needed were far more invasive than a fat monitor.

Pollaidh · 07/09/2020 17:55

Scientist here. Utter shite. They've just jumbled up a number of buzzwords to confuse people.

SerenDippitty · 07/09/2020 17:57

If it's a UK clinic it might be worth bringing it to the attention of the HFEA.
RedPanda17 · 07/09/2020 18:00

Total scam. It's quite cruel really if you're struggling to conceive.

madcatladyforever · 07/09/2020 18:02

Utter bollox. From an ex nurse here.

Twickerhun · 07/09/2020 18:03

Looks like it’s based in Ireland -they must have a regulatory body one can report Crap like this too?

mumwon · 07/09/2020 18:15

fertilitynetworkuk.org/how-we-can-help/support-groups/republic-of-ireland-groups/
maybe this organisation might know how to report this?

ThatLibraryMiss · 07/09/2020 18:22

But... but it says quantum. That means it's got to be good, right?

At €285 per person (no discount for a couple) you'd think they could have employed a proofreader. There are some terrible mistakes on that webpage, even if you think the BS they're peddling is legit.

Yes! After the treatment they will "get a full clear picture of your health situation and can then do up a complete inhouse treatment plan".
