Looks like we will not get any up to date information on schools with Covid cases.
Could you please post the name and location of local schools you are aware which have got Covid cases.

OP posts:

I would find out about schools in my city by reading the bbc news or the local online news. Easier to find than on a long thread on here.

ChicCroissant · 07/09/2020 15:20

Why do you need to know every school affected OP? Surely you only need to know about the local ones?

jomaIone · 07/09/2020 15:21

Do you need to know any school except the one your kid goes to? My local primary school has a case but my 2 year old doesn't go to school so it really makes no odds to me.

GeorginaTheGiant · 07/09/2020 15:25

Some people really are just loving the chance to be over dramatic and irrational aren’t they? Schools going back has just given the dementors a new lease of life.

People who need to know information will be told it. You really don’t need to appoint yourself as some kind of national record keeper via the medium of Mumsnet Confused How about you focus on your own children and their school and let everyone else deal with their own situations through appropriate (official) channels?

lifesalongsong · 07/09/2020 15:25

Why would it matter to me if any school other than one I have children at has any cases?

If there are any cases that affect my childrens bubbles then the school will let me know, otherwise tbh I don't have any interest

Tootletum · 07/09/2020 15:28

Did you mislay your pitchfork and pick up a keyboard by mistake?

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 07/09/2020 15:42

There will be children testing positive. It's inevitable. But the only people who need to know are the families of that school.

Are you also wanting informations of supermarkets, army regiments, factories, shop, offices etc having cases? Or do you just want to prove to yourself that schools aren't safe?

WhoWants2Know · 07/09/2020 15:44

Thanks for pointing out @Toryfibs. 201 schools now, apparently

Cocomarine · 07/09/2020 15:45

Weird.
You only need to know if it’s your school.
And then you’ll know.

LonelyFromCorona · 07/09/2020 15:50

This is not an AM I BEING UNREASONABLE question

Emmelina · 07/09/2020 16:02

Schools aren’t likely to make press statements about COVID, but local news pages will often pick up on it. One of the secondaries here has sent a whole year group home into isolation because of a few cases.

Well, it’s an unreasonable thread as it’s totally unnecessary. So maybe that’s the link?! Grin
TheOrigBrave · 07/09/2020 16:39

The hysteria! I've muted my class parent whatapp and my son's football club whatsapp.

England already has more cases than Scotland in schools and many back for less than a week with the bank holidays and insets.
Climbingallthetrees · 07/09/2020 16:52

I’m interested to learn it’s as few as 200! Because one of my kids’ schools has 3 kids with positive tests I’d sort of assumed it must be very widespread. Looks like we’ve just been unlucky.

NotAKaren · 07/09/2020 16:58

Those schools concerned will have contacted all parents directly why would anyone not connected need a list.Hmm

Anniemabel · 07/09/2020 17:05

I don’t think there is much point in collating there info here but I think those saying that they only need to know about one school are being slightly naive. My kids go to three different places and in each place they are with peers who have siblings at other local secondaries. If any of those secondaries had lots of cases if stands to reason that the primaries would be affected too, or would soon to be affected.
