Aibu to wonder what you are all doing with your kids on weekends now they're back to school and things are back to "normal" (but not quite normal)???

This weekend I’ve returned to being a taxi service for my children’s activities. I’m not sure what the rest of term will be like in terms of children’s bday parties as I’m guessing it won’t be the same so perhaps more time to just potter at home. Our house has reached a bad point in terms of chaos so will need to spend a lot of time doing boring jobs.

This weekend — as little as possible as he is knackered from the last few days!

I think DS1 will probably be really tired (new reception starter) so just local park/playing toys at home/visiting GP.
I want to see how things are and then start back swimming lessons.

I've brought mine to dance class this morning followed by a trip to a cafe and a walk. Can't believe it's still only lunch time Sad following along to get some ideas on how to fill the endless hours!

We’re still not back at school. So today we’re doing uniform shopping (searching for the elusive slim fit, shirt sleeved, blue shirt that actually fits DS is an annual joy). He’s got swim training tomorrow morning just to make sure that my Sunday starts stupidly early even if the baby is asleep.

The weekend activities that mine used to do (dancing and swimming lessons) haven’t started back up yet, so we’re just doing things like bike rides, crafts, going to the park etc. We have more time for spellings and homework too.
To be honest mine are usually a bit burnt out by Christmas so I’m actually looking forward to a ‘quieter’ term than usual, without all the rushing around/dance shows etc. I might feel differently in a few weeks when the weather is awful and no one wants to go on a bike ride though.

We are mooching around as none of DDs activities have restarted. She has restarted school so is a bit tired and I go back on Monday so I'm finishing off emails etc.
We will go for a walk later to take photos of the sunflowers in the field at the back of us.
