AIBU to ask about your covid test...?

If you've recently been to a drive through test centre, just wondering what time/day you took the test and the time/day you got a text with the results?

Not really an AIBU just posting for traffic (and much appreciated answers)

Interesting, I had the test but never got a result through. Assumed I would only hear if a positive.

Test 10am Sunday, result (negative) noon on Monday.

Took DS for one at 3:30PM on Sunday, got the results at 6AM bank holiday Monday

I did a home one, received and posted back on Tuesday 4pm, results received Saturday 1pm. Think I will go to a drive through if I ever need another, seems much quicker turn around!!

How long ago was your test? Did you just go about your business whilst assuming you were clear?

I don't know all the nuances but even I know you isolate until a test result means you get a result either way.

DH first drive thru test on weds 10.30am last week, got results yesterday 5pm.
Second drive thru test (cos 1st one 'lost') last sat 10am, got results this morning.

Ds and I did postal tests last weds, got results 6am bank hol Monday.

Bit of a shambles...

Test at 6.30pm Tuesday, results by email/text at 7.45am Wednesday. Super fast!

I did and posted a home test last Tuesday and didn’t get results till Monday. I would have done a drive in one but the website wanted me to drive 80 miles away .

Test 11am, results at 2am, so 15 hrs.

Local drive in, around 10 am, results (neg) by about 12 the next day.

All sorted, negative result and back out and about. My results took longer than a lot of the replies so was worrying it would have to be repeated! Good to know for most people it seems quite speedy!
