Is any better than the other?
What’s the difference between SMA, Cow and Gate or Aptamil? Stuck on which to buy... do you have a preference for a reason? Thanks

We've been using Kendamil. What's wrong with their marketing? I've noticed that their organic range has disappeared from Amazon - anyone know why?

They are all pretty much identical. buy whichever one is on offer. There has been some research on differences between milks, and as long as the bottles were blinded (i.e. parents weren’t aware of the brand), there were no difference in how well they were digested. once you tell patents that you changed brands, you get tons of complaints about upset tummies, even if the formula hadn’t been changed...

We used Aptamil purely because I was in a coma for 2 weeks after DS's birth and that was what the hospital used whilst he was in Neo-natal.

It worked as he ended up looking like a mini Phil Mitchell but far cuter!

@PablosHoney

I remember watching a programme about teen mums and one of them would only buy SMA as it was the only one that was ‘powdered breast milk’ 😂😂
It is powdered breast milk - it just comes from the breasts of cows, not humans!

@sandrine1982

Their marketing is misleading- they make out that whole cows milk is somehow more wholesome, when actually all formulas have a controlled recipe that means whether you start with whole or skimmed cows milk, neither is more "wholesome" when turned in to formula. They've also marketed unethically in the UK and abroad at fairs etc.

If you question them, politely and nicely, via email, they soon turn nasty. Try it.

We used Aptamil with our PFB as it was the most expensive and thus the most nutritious Grin

DD2 was born after the recipe was changed and reacted horribly to it, so we changed her to HIPP. It's cheaper, readily available in our area, and smells much more appealing.

I'm shocked at all of Health Visitors advising on formula. Neither of mine would even entertain the idea of discussing bottle feeding with me, unhelpful cows.

If you're set on FF (no judgement I FF both mine for various reasons) I found HIPP Organic to be better for my DS2. He had reflux and colic and I found it easier on his tummy.

I use sainsburys brand. Ingredients are almost identical to Kendamil. No fish oil and no palm oil. Its £7 a tub.
They don't make ready to feed (I just use cow and gate if I want to have a RTF) and really annoyingly they don't have it available for home delivery. It smells amazing, like a milkshake, and taste is pretty good too.
