Being forced to have General anesthia for wisdom tooth..

Hi, I am being forced to have wisdom tooth surgery under general anesthesia by the surgeon. Can I refuse and opt for local instead?

It was the surgeon at the hospital that refused to do it under local. I tried to explain my reasons, he said GA or nothing.

I am deemed high risk with hyperthyroidsm and GA. I will ask for a second option.
