Off for Sunday lunch. She wants to walk there, no issue with walking. But she wants to drive there first, leave one car, drive back and then walk the 1 hour to get there. Once we eat, I am to take the kids back in my car while she walks back.

It’s a nice place, where you dress nice. It’s drizzly, it’s a 15 min drive there and back. I don’t want to be sweaty, frizzy haired eating my lunch whilst wearing trainers.

I suggested we eat lunch then go for a hours walk or meeting her there. Nope she wants the walk both ways and help with the kids on they way there.

So who is being unreasonable?

She's being ridiculous. Is it so that she can have a few drinks with lunch? I take it there are too many of you to fit in one car?

I had to read that twice. YANBU. Controlling and bonkers.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 23/08/2020 12:03

Sounds like she wants a drink with lunch and cba walking both ways!
Be like Zammo, just say no!

maras2 · 23/08/2020 12:07

She needs to have a word with herself.
I've never heard such nonsense. Confused

LadyLairdArgyll · 23/08/2020 12:26

Go for lunch without her ... 🌺

Shoxfordian · 23/08/2020 12:28

Drive there yourself and let her get there however she wants

Flappingflamingo · 23/08/2020 13:10

My head hurts after reading that! 😂

Flappingflamingo · 23/08/2020 13:10

Does that mean she'll have to walk back again tomorrow to pick up her car???

WildfirePonie · 23/08/2020 13:25

I thought they were your kids but after reading the thread i'm wondering if they are hers? Why should you drive them back if they are hers?

What did you decide to do?

Chairlove · 23/08/2020 14:16

It was all ok. It rained. We drove here. Had a lovely lunch and will walk when we go babk

You'll leave the car? Whose kids are they?
