Can anyone help? Sad

Does anyone know where you could click and collect a tumble dryer?

Every company I've searched has a 7-7 delivery policy which just doesn't fricken suit.

All I need is a retailer that does click and collect.

Go to a laundrette.

Order a tumble drier when you get back from holiday

BIWI · 21/08/2020 16:00

Definitely laundrette! Huge drums means washing gets dry really quickly.

JadesRollerDisco · 21/08/2020 16:02

I would go to the launderette. Or see if anywhere does a drop off and collect/deliver service wash so you don't have to wait around

Reallybadidea · 21/08/2020 16:04

@ShirleyPhallus

Ne8ther currys nor argos near me appear to offer lick and collect.
That's two of us then Grin
LionLily · 21/08/2020 16:12

I wouldn't risk a panic buy, you might live to regret it.
Ring round friends to see if you could use their dryer. See if you still have a self service launderette in the vicinity, or ring a laundry service.
If you have a friend with both a dryer and a sensible teenager even better. Slip them a tenner to supervise the loads while you get about your business.

@Derekhello

Yes Curry’s do, I wouldn’t recommend AO.
What problems have you had with AO? I've always found them to be amazing. I've ordered perhaps 6 times over the past 10 years and every order has been perfect
burritofan · 21/08/2020 16:15

Try a washing line?

ChaosTrulyReigns · 21/08/2020 16:19

Oooh I've found a localish one with plenty in stock that we can get one off the shelf tomorrow hurray!

@BrieAndChilli

Can you not go to a curry’s and buy one off the shelf? Why does it have to be click and collect?
I think I might be using click and collect as an all encompassing term for just grabbing it there and then iyswim?

@titchy

Can't you go to a launderette?
Ya'd think that'd be the sensible option! But by the time I've washed some stuff it'll be late morning and then I'm unavailable to recollec between 1 and when it closes, so I'm stumped sadly.

We always use ao now. They have a much bigger range and you can sometimes get next day delivery plus they can install and remove old appliances

ChaosTrulyReigns · 21/08/2020 16:26

Grin the simplest solutions are the best!Grin

Though tbf, I've got that much to clean and dry before Sunday morning, my brain probably didn't see it as a viable solution. Hmmme!

I'll try to get some dry on it, if there's friendly weather.

Go into a curry’s store and ask them to point out which are in stock to take away. There are always a small selection in stock.
